Way to go on the poems!! Nice job.

I'm not too poetic, but I'll give it a shot..

There once was a man from Qasala
who bribed his way in for a dolla

He longed for Amira
Made a city disappear-a

If I don't get something to do soon I just might holla

Or maybe write another poem... that will teach 'em!

Poetry is starting to flow.
Fortunately, most is not that droll.
Homer we ain't.
Pentameter we cain't.

Haiku would be fun.
Too bad we have limited verse,
Or else this could work.

Seth has corrupted Adam.
The Muses have infused us.
I prefer Lady Isis.
Free verse will flow through the plot.
We will keep our eyes keen.

Running out of things to discuss.
The plot is set.
We are searching.
Watch out Neopia!
We are lurking!

Good evening everyone!

Love the poetry!

Has anyone checked source codes recently? The comics? The tomb? I think we should see where we stand on what needs to be checked.

Oh, and here's my poetic contribution:

Ode to the Foreman

Oh Repository Foreman
How I laugh at you
As you sit in the corner
And wonder what to do

You were far too bossy
And you were way too mean
I'd love to take that cudgel
And put it where the sun's not seen

So sit there in the sand
And sulk to your heart's content
For I'm done with you
My repository days are spent!

Fri Oct 14, 2005 2:14 am

Wow, everyone's so poetic!
My rhymes must be pathetic.
All I can do is sit and read,
"I want the next part of this plot!" I plead.
But don't mind me,
Perhaps better this plot will be...
Or at least that is what I hope.
Perhaps the foreman will elope (with ID? :P),
And never again shall we see or hear
His ugly face, his words, we no longer fear.
And that is all the assurance I can offer.
Whatever poetry it is that you prefer.
All I can write is this free verse
And to TNT I will continue to curse.

Poetry Battledome?

Okay Skynetmain, I vaguely remember Mythology from my early college days, but lately I have been dabbling in some 'gangsta' rhymes. I may not be the best by far, but if you care to continue .. *Nimmo pet jumps up and forms The Crane in slow-motion then freezes in Matrix-like stance* 8)

::

The foreman was rude
Had us subdued

The ID was bent
Had no feng shui sense

Neopets are so tired
Even though we admire

This ingenious story
In all of its glory

Let's all get together
The more, the better

To bury Prince Jazan
Under the desert sand!

I checked source at repository, teller, temple and gift shop. Found nothing.

Love all the poetry, guys... I almost thought I was on the wrong thread.

I take full resonsiblity for the trend. I beg forgiveness and offer this:

Chokato Avie
Great mind hides behind furrowed
brow. supRNurs.

Aside from the Haiku, I think we are still on the right track with the waiting. Sure it gets annoying, but that is what haiku, rhymes, and, may fave, free verse is for. We just have to keep our eyes open and let the art and poetry flow.

My Contribution:

Roses are Red
Violets Are Blue
Think I Will Goto Bed
Rather then sit here and Wait for Something New

Edit: SO glad i didnt quit my day job and become a poet :o

So yeah, I disappeared for a couple of weeks. I'm back! And with a poem, too:

The Plot Thus Far
First we're trapped inside a tomb.
But we know how to get out!
Find the right door, color and sign
PPTers are smart, there's no doubt.

Oh! Now, the tablet is finished!
What next? We all sit and ask.
Now the comics have new spots to click on
And we figured that one out fast.

Oh, wow! Found out the Prophecy!
Where is that Faerie again?
Back to the Temple, all so excited...
Scarabs? A hundred and ten!

The comics, once more, are important.
We find that Prince Jazan is back.
Amira, once more, she refuses
To marry that mouldy old hack.

But Sakhmet! dear Sakhmet! is gone now!
It's vanished into a big cloud.
Jazan's a wizard - go figure -
He's mad 'cause Amira's too proud.

The Fortune Teller has our next clue.
She tells us of a new plan -
A Repository? Who knows what that is?
But we'll find it - we know we can!

So we search and we search and we find
The Repository, covered in sand.
The Foreman watches our progress carefully.
(Did you notice he never lent a hand?)

Finally finished! Or so we think.
No, now we're inside, hauling blocks.
We grunt and we haul and we search for our symbol -
Gee, these sure are heavy rocks!

Oh, of course, we then have to wait
A full week for our update to come.
So we sit on these forums and curse TNT
Until, finally, the Rukis are done!

Interior Decorator, our new goal
Is to ask you where we should go.
We have a small problem, though, ID dear.
Where are you? We never quite know!

If you'd stay in one spot, dear Decorator,
We'd be a much happier clan.
But with PPT forums and much frantic searching
We find you and can stick to the plan.

And so, right now, we are waiting.
TNT has us all wondering now.
It's okay, though, we're all good at this.
But what's our next step? Who? Where? How?

PPTers unite! There's one thing we can do!
We've been doing it now for a while.
Theories and ideas I'm sure will spill forth
Till TNT breaks their silence. Oh, the smiles!

Oh, the joy we will feel when they update!
Is it back to the Repository?
Or the Temple? The Gift Shop? The Tablet?
I guess we'll just wait and see...

...and now, back to your regularly scheduled griping about how TNT needs to update. :)

Don't have time to write a poem(or brain capacity at the moment :) , going to bed pretty soon, don't feel like thinking right now), but I gotta say this:

The foreman's out of a jo-ob
ha ha ha ha ha ha
It's payback time for hi-im
la la la la la la!
:P

I guess that's sort of a poem, in the kindergarten sence, lol

But then again, a kindergarten peom is better than the foreman deserves.

:D

I can't view the source, anyone know why?

Using IE 6.0 I do view.. source from menu, but nothing happens. No pop-up or other window with html. I turned off ie's pop-up blocker, still no html.

There must be some option i've got wrong... html editor= notepad

It doesn't work on any website I've tried, not just neopets.

Round 2?

Fri Oct 14, 2005 3:17 am

In the new Poetry Battledome (exclusively on PPT!), a hidden sub-plot thickens ..

*Skynetmain gains 2 points for Haiku, loses 1 health from gangsta rap hit*

*Nimmo pet tires, gains 1 gangsta rap hit point, loses 2 health*

*However, Nimmo's turn to retaliate*

:: (anyone care to animate this in in a cartoon/comic?) :P

I wholeheartedly agree
I'm so glad it's not just me

For in the mean-time
We may as well rhyme

I beg your forgiveness
Of my lack of poise and verse

As I learned how to rhyme
from "Em" and Dr. Suess

<hr>

Right-clicking on the page and View Source doesn't even work?

Get back to work!
A poem by Sky

I don't mind losing health, but to 'gansta' rap?
Hit me in the head like a backhand slap.

Wrote an epic last night.
Guess that ain't tight.
Got to fight back with all my might,
If that a'ight.

Must work on plot now.
Fortunte teller is a Kau.
Jazan's magic makes us go wow.
But what do we do now?

Now were on a poetry craze.
Free verse leaves others in a haze.
Haiku knocks 'em back in a daze.
Rhyme is like a straight maze.

TNT will make the plot progress.
Adam is a Goa'uld, or in league with Seth.
Surely, we will have more success.
And my name ain't Sherly nor Beth.

For now, Elric will make comics.
I will do some math homework. Some involves conics.
And we'll all bust rhymes like Hooked on Phonics.

---------------------
Edit: Guys, if we're going to battle it out in poetry, try to use the plot. I know we've all been doing so, but we seem to stay somewhat stagnent. Try to encourage others to keep working and all that like I and many others do. And no, I was not forced nor asked to write this addendum.

I hate to be a party pooper, but that's not a good statement to make in terms of other certain bolded statements...

You guys know what that means. Tone it down a bit...

*Nimmo pet loses 3 health to sublime counter-active 'rap'*

*Sky advances forward an extra level*

::

Your skill is indeed epic
But I had to take my
"Bismol Peptic" [Pepto Bismol all skewed for those that are not as insane as me]

As I realize that we are both on the same stream
Saving the City of Sakhmet is our mutual dream

But how long should we wait
Twiddle thumbs and be bait

For the TNT Staff [insert IMG of Staff with lightning around it here] :P
To weild its great wrath

We all await the Great Elric
To make this into a Comic.

(hint hint)

*mod lashes whip* (but justifiably so)

EDIT :: technically, it is on topic, just in rhyme, but apologies if it is distracting while we wait; and we shall not continue this madness here
