The points will probably be like the war points in the last plot -- what we "redeemed" when selecting our prizes. I suspect we'll get points for the puzzle (# of points based on how quickly we solve ours) as well as for battling -- I just hope TNT recognizes how much work goes into puzzle-solving (just the temple-mapping alone has been mind-numbing) so that it's possible to rack up a fair number of points even without battling . . . though I plan to fight too.

Well, I don't know about other people's war stories but I got an item worth 10million of the last war... still bartering it off bit by bit for np though, not many people have 8 to 10 mil that they can lay down on the table :P

Don't get me started on the last war. ;) Some people with the 85 strength boost got put in rank 1 and racked up thousands of points, while some people with the 85 strength boost got put in rank 2, facing opponents many times more difficult, and could only manage 23 points (*cough* like me *cough*). After being used to racking up a lot of wins in previous wars, that was a blow. But this thread's not about that. ;)

I'm getting impatient! I'm afraid to go to sleep, in case I miss the end of the puzzle and show up too late for anything, which would be a shame after all that work mapping and solving clues and playing Fetch multiple times. ;)

You should have done a supporter role. I got really good at those games and was pulling down thousands of NP a day. The item hunts were torture, so i do agree with the unfairness of it all.

Oh don't misunderstand me, I said nothing about the warrior side of the last war. I was a supporter, and according to the unofficial tally keeper, I ranked 6th in my rank. It wasn't good enough to get the best prize though, but I certainly feel I earned every bit of what I got. I spent hours every day tediously aquiring high scores in those games, then dumping my coffers on seemingly pointless quests.

If this war has both roles like the last, then I don't know which I'll join. I am rather terrible at most LD games, and I still haven't been able to fully sell off my previous prize so I don't have much np... I guess I'd have to tough it out with my namesake pet, he is sort of a battler...

Ahem, on an almost totally unrelated topic, the lab turned my kougra checkered!
So I threw together this to commemorate the occasion

I finally found my statue (Red Fer Pentagon - Fer Statue) and what's funny is it was one of the two different pieces that my tablet started out with and that I was initially going to try but then let all of you talk me out of it (not me, exactly, but others like me).

Evil... every last one of you.

My faerie statue is in the room I start in. I didn't check it first, though -- it was the fourth room I tried. I just didn't think it would be that easy. :P

I have to sleep for a while. I hope that the puzzle progresses while I'm gone, but doesn't end! ;)

My first hallway is 7 rooms long, and nothing was in it. The closest door of any consequencse was 7 clicks away

A plaque on its base reads:

Whosoever shall speak the prophecy here, shall be rewarded with treasures beyond compare

Alright.. isn't it just Hieroglyphics on the plaque.....
Anyone figured anything about this 'professor' ????

I hope it's not gonna require dabbling into sourecodes or other weird stuffs.

I actually thought the carvings on the statue looked like the language of the Ancients from Stargate. Everything else looks Ancient Egyptian.

Wasn't there a Neoschools teacher who supposedly taught a course in Ancient History or something. Maybe they'll throw him/her in as the "professor".

"Neoschools", hah! What a farce that was.

I completed my tablet, and here's what I have:

Ben Ra Ra Fer
Djo Saf Fer Ben
Saf Kha Ben Tep
Kha Lat Ben Ankh

which, according to the translation provided in a previous thread, translates to:
Rise Sun Sun Carry
Discover Dead End Carry Rise
Dead End Man's Mortality Rise Moon
Man's Mortality See Rise Life

I broke that up into sets of two symbols each(Ben Ra, Ra Fer, etc.) for fun, and translated it as if these sets were individual phrases:

At sunrise, he is carried by the sun
Until he finds his death, is risen and carried away
Man's mortality causes an end, at moonrise
See the man's mortality, and it shall give way to new life

Which I doubt actually has any bearing on the actual prophecy, but it's still fun. Give me 16 semirandomly arranged words on little tiles, and I'll not only make sense out of them I'll make them sound pretty too! It's not all that far from what I do in Latin class, actually.

The Mystery Island Mystic "You will suddenly decide to sing a song backwards. " ot tnaw t'nod I yaw on [joking] It would never be the mystic because his message is different for everybody, right?

Actually, at one point in the Mystery Island Volcano Mystery plot, he did give the same message -- a clue -- to everyone.

This professor of ancient languages is driving me crazy. I know that I saw some reference a couple months ago to such a character on the site, but I just can't remember where I saw it! I guess I'll start checking the Neopedia and Collectable Cards for descriptions. Grrrr....

If my memory serves me correct.. I think you were supposed to refresh at the mystic at fixed seconds past the minute to see clues. There were 5 of them..

Actually.. I can't remember if refreshing was the beach or the mystic.. but I'm very sure there were 5 clues at the mystic.
