I'm not frozen, I don't have any warnings, and I still have the avatar. o_O I wish TNT would do explain this, even if it's just a sentance or two in the news.

I think that they should just let the people who managed to obtain the avatar by that means let them keep it and make the avatar easier to obtain to make up for that error. Partially TNT is to blame for that mistake in their programming, rather than erasing that the error occured they should just move on and learn from it (which I feel at times that they don't do.)

I do feel that this would end up in an outrage to those who paid for that avatar in the first place, but it's likely a more sensible way to make it "even".

I agree, Rune. And presumably those who did pay got to take home "leftovers" anyway (they were mentioned on the page where we all got the av), which they can most likely sell to get some of their NPs back.

Lol I think the game would be drastically changed if 99% of neo users were removed from the game :P

bijon, did you get the avi on other accounts? Using the link? It still doesn't make sense, you only get an avi, you're not getting any np from it. The only thing that would make sense as a reason was "exploiting a glitch", which TNT does freeze for.

Anoo, :o can you imagine?! But you know, I might actually get to rs something if that happened ;) dial up user here, bleh.

So, some people still have it and some people got it taken away. Weird. Should be an all or nothing -- for the people who used the link, obviously not the people who spent thousands to get the avi. And I'm sure they know who did and who didn't get it the right way.

I don't want people frozen, people didn't know. How could they? To freeze someone for clicking a link (which there are many of) to get an avatar is just ridiculous.

I will say this, just in general. Avatars, while they can be fun and all that, have caused more problems, scams and inflation that just about anything else that's been done on the site. Yes I have some avatars, yes I have borrowed items (from friends, no collateral or "tips" - which I think is against the rules), but I'm not insane and I'm not going to spend thousands or millions as some people have or risk lending or borrowing a pet and/or aged petpet for something that has NO value other than your own sense of status.

bijon, definitely start the process. Get that autoform filled out (I know it's a pain, I've been there myself). Expect to either a) hear nothing or b) get an answer saying No. Don't give up. If you don't hear anything, write again. If you get an autoresponse, write back to that support person. Be polite, use proper grammar and spelling, explain the entire situation, apologize (YES!) if you inadvertently did something wrong, as you would never jeopardize your account, especially for something like an avatar. You were just another person who unknowingly clicked a link that was posted all over the neoboards thinking that this was a clickable avatar.

Have all the information you can possibly think of when you write. Your pet species/colors, names, petpets, bank type, some of your neofriends, your username, dob, email, guild name, any recent trades or auctions you've done (buy or sell), neohome (if you have one), BD equipment, how long you've had your account, etc.

I once a month cap my neofriend list, my pet quick ref page, BD equip page, and at least once a week cap my bank. Just as a precaution. Because there's no way you're thinking about any of that when you get the chia cop!

Yes I did get my account back, but mine was different. I was only a couple months on the site, had never been to the neoboards, and ended up getting scammed with a fake log-in page. It did take a few months to get it back. but patience, politeness and persistence can pay off. At least give it a try. If you know for a fact you've done nothing wrong, you shouldn't be punished for what may be a glitch or a mistake.

I don't your freezing is in any way related to you clicking that link and getting that avatar. I mean, why only you and no one else? Not that you're guilty or anything(who could be guilty and be sad about their account?), but I find it odd that with the thousands who got the avatar that way, not everyone had the same treatment.

Kudos to wonder weezel for making me this cute set. ^_^

My friend emailed them for a year and yes,no reply except automails.I'm starting all over again but I don't think I'm going to spend more time on it now.I lost many items and nps because TNT thought I'm violating their T&C.I think it's time for them to sit down and come up with a new and better version of T&C.The current one sucks and too many gray areas.

bijon, so many of us feel the same way about the T&C, have written to support, to the editorial, I've actually saved, copied and sent via snail mail a letter with supporting documentation (boards/forums - with all names/identifiers removed) about just how bad the T&C is, and how even Support doesn't know the answers.

Blue, no one ever gets the same treatment. Think about the last war and all the backspacers. OK, everyone with over a certain number got set back (and there were some very angry people who had spent thousands on cures), but a few were frozen for it. And at the beginning of the war, no one knew about the poison and most of the BD'ers regularly backspaced in battle. I don't, it messes things up for me.

The tombola glitch (where people could just keep going) ... not everyone, obviously, but people were frozen for that. The bilge dice autoplay glitch (that was TNT's fault/problem) -- how many people got frozen for that? Alot. The games glitches that TNT is well aware of (volcano run, etc. - timed games) -- people are regularly frozen for that. Is it fair? No, of course not. And it's not fair that some people get away with just about anything and everything and some people get iced for the smallest infraction.

I didn't cry when my account got frozen.I am disappointed with Neopets.I've been a player for many years and this is what I get in return

According to my friends,I won't get back my items, especially the retired one and of course the expensive ones. That's why at one point I was thinking it's not worth it (to email Neopets,to snail mail Neopets).Someone mentioned cold turkey in previous messages.I think I'm heading towards Cold Turkey Valley
