Caylis dreams of bad things. She makes the bad things happen. :P

i thought one sister predicted good things? and the other bad?

No, Isca predicts bad things as well. The story in the magazine tells of her dreams and stuff. Yep. <.<

what magazine article?

The way they explained it in the comic was that Isca "foresaw things that helped the Maraquans avoid peril," while Caylis had "nightmares of terrible disasters that would always come true." The Maraquans began to feel that she was causing the bad things to happen and sent her away.

That still doesn't make a lot of sense, though. Couldn't she still "cause" these disasters while not living in Maraqua? And if Isca's so great at helping them avoid peril, why couldn't she stop the things Caylis had nightmares about? I think it just requires better explanation.

My guess is that Isca dreams of the disaster nearly happening and how it's avoided/ prevented, so she told the Maraquans what to do. Caylis simply dreamed of the disaster.

From the magazine, issue 8

Quote:
Isca - Her Dreams Foretold The Future

"No! No, watch out... NO!" Isca shot up in bed, breathing heavily. She sat still, allowing her memory of the dream to pass. The water that flowed through her gills had a calming effecct, and the Maraquan Aisha soon drifted out of her bed and across her room.

She could tell it was morning, because to the sunlight glistened off the plankton floating outside her window. She picked up her favourite coral brush and began to comb through her long white hair. Isca looked at the mirror on her desk and, upon seeing her own reflection, the memories of her dream came flowing back into her mind...

In the dream her friend Briana, a Maraqan Acara, had been pulled into a dark trench by a whirlpool. Isca had a feeling that the Acara would never return.

Isca's stomach felt heavy. Throughout her life, the Aisha's dreams were often premonitions of the future. She hoped with all her heart that this one was simply a bad dream. In the back of her mind, though, she knew that it wasn't.

Maybe, she thought, maybe just this once I can stop it from happening...
... snip ...

The Acara looked ashamed before giging her childhood playmate a big hug. "Oh, Isca, I am so sorry, after all this time I should just listen to you." A rather pale Isca smiled at her friend, and again hoped that just once she would be wrong. It was a wish she had made many times before, and knew she would make again.

typos are from the magazine.

So I really don't know what the difference is between Isca and Caylis, except I guess one of them has to be "bad" so there can be a big confrontation or something.
