Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Lenny Conundrum game (Round 123). We have given you 230 NP!

Lame payout :(

The answer was Maractite Battle Duck.

The new one is up:

Princess Amira demands only the most luxurious of accommodations. So for her bath, she had glacial ice from Terror Mountain shipped to her palace in the Lost Desert. There, the ice was carved into a perfect sphere, exactly 2 meters in diameter. The ice sphere melted into her hexagonal bath measuring 1.5 meters on a side, and 0.8 meters deep.

If the desert heat uniformly melts the surface of the ice at a rate of 1.5mm of depth per minute, how many minutes will it take for her bath to be completely full?
Please round up to the nearest minute, and assume the volume does not change between solid and liquid states.

Yay for math problems! :P

Yeah, I got that too. Is it us, or them?

I think it's them: it's very easy to write "diameter" instead of "radius" and miss it while checking it.

that's a big difference in volume...from around 4 to around 34...

I got that if radius is 1 meter, then the sphere wouldn't be enough. So the radius must be 2 meters.

i don't think they would let such a simple error go...

but then again, NASA has been known to scrap an entire mission because they forgot to convert to metric...so who knows...

That's weird, I got more than enough, but I'm doing this all by hand. Just remember that it melts the outer ice first, which has more volume than the inner ice.

I'm sorry, but we don't PM answers here. If you want the answer, you're going to have to work it out like everyone else.

Yeah, I don't have enough ice either. However, the glitch in the problem might be that the hexagonal bath was 1.5 M across which is not as huge as 1.5 m on each side. That or they meant to put radius instead of diameter on the ice ball. Dang it. I got both answers figured out in case they resolve the error, I just hate waiting.
