Kiss the Mortogs

1 Bring apposing corners together and crease the center to form a triangle.
2 Open back up into a square.
3 Fold corners to meet making a crease across the previous fold.
4 Open back up to a square. You will now have 2 folds creating an X on your square.
5 Fold corners to meet corners forming a rectangle.
6 Push the folded right corner down between the front and back of rectangle. Flatten along previously made creases.
7 Push the folded left corner down between the front and back of rectangle. Flatten along previously made creases.
8 You will now have a triangle.
9 Fold left flap over to the center of the triangle.
10 Fold right flap over to the center of the triangle.
11 Fold both flaps back half way
12 This is the top of the Mortog. Turn over so top is laying on the table.
13 Folds left long corner to meet at the top corner.
14 Folds right long corner to meet at the top corner.
15 Fold right corner over to center.
16 Fold left corner over to meet right corner.
17 You now have a gem shape.
18 Fold right top layer (facing the nose) back over the larger fold to form front leg.
19 Fold left top layer (facing the nose) back over the larger fold to form front leg.
20 Fold leg section of body in half about 2/3 of the way down from the nose.
21 Fold legs back half way from previous fold.
22 Flip over onto belly. You can now make the mortog jump by pressing the tip of your finger over the center rear and sliding back with your finger.

I know, but I don't know anybody else who folds the legs like that. I learned it when I was relaly young at it is the only origami I know. Most to the legs like this

...and it was better than my original idea of faerie bubbles!

Wow. I'd love to see that. :) And I have seen frogs folded like that before -- they jump, don't they? I sort of want get my friend to make me something cause he's good with origami and has made several models of his own, but I'd be too embarassed to ask him for a Neopet. :P

Well I, unlike all you cowards, was brave enough to submit my *cough*crumpled up ball of paper*cough* wonderful piece of stunning origami. Bwahahaha!

Image

My text submission:

Haiku for a Pet Rock

A friend made of stone,
Who never wets the carpet.
Sort of boring though.

To make your own Origami Pet Rock -
Take one (1) standard 8.5 x 11 size piece of printer paper. Using a complex series of twisting and crunching motions, mold it until it is spherical in shape, resembling a Pet Rock! Ta da!

*dies laughing* If I get in, I'm... well, I dunno what I'll do, but it'll be funny. lol

yeah, heres a hint for you guys... i strongly suggest that you dont just take a "crane" "dog" "elephant" or "frog" or some other common oragami and say its a lenny, lupe, elephante, or mortog.... they are looking for something original, like... you actually tried to make a lenny, not a crane and called it a lenny... i cant wait! im going to make something COOL... you just wait and see :)
