New Site Layout (split)

Umm I've been here like 6 1/2 years i dont have a young account. And as said by a mod 'be respectful'

But I would also like to mention and remind people that this is Beta mode of the site.

Yes I mentioned modules (wich is not a fancy term it's all those little boxes that everything is in now) Modules are a HUGE part of this new layout. If anyone has a home page (aol, msn, yahoo, google) I belive each of those sites use a type of module. So what I am saying is that each of the things you see on your screen could become optional wich I belive they will. The site will be more cutomable to you. Heck they may even have a 'module' that will make the left sidebar the way it originaly was for you!

The reason I brought up the screen size was more to remind people that if you own a newer computer this is the default screen resolution. (atleast on most computers I wont say all)

The entire internet is not all geared towards kids. Yes neo is geared that way but remember it is a 'kids' site even for people who are 'collage age kids'.

As for those who have mentioned boycotting neo over the weekend why not spend the time writing to neo and telling them what you like and don't like. Boycotting will not change anything, how will they know what you want changed if you dont mention? Will they go back to the old style probably not. Will they make it optional maybe. Mostly I think they would like feedback on the site and how you would like to see it changed or what you think good or bad.

You know... I kinda like that idea. Not playing Neopets this weekend out of protest. Just because its the only message I *can* send about being unhappy. Sure, the TNT worked really hard on these changes. I applaud the efforts of the individuals. They were doing the job that they were paid for. However, at the same time, I want to shake the person who mandated the change. This all boils down to a handful of people demanding the change. And it was NOT done for the benefit of the user, in my opinion. This new layout makes it easier for them to integrate more ads onto each and every page. They did it for the SPONSORS, not the players. Yes, the site needs revenue to survive... but we're the ones who provide that revenue through our patronage. Unfortunately, *we're* not the customers who are always right. Those buying the ad space are.

I'm just supremely frustrated by all this.
