No, that's not quite right. I've logged into several computers and never been logged out of my home computer - ever.

Yes, that is true. If you change your password on one computer, its cookie is updated, but not on any other. So any other computer that was logged into that account, is, in effect, logged out.

I think you only get logged off if both computers are on and at neopets at the time. Not sure though. 0.o

I remember once I closed the window without logging out at school. When I came back to use it at school a week later I was still logged in. Thankfully that was a new account I was going to start a gallery on that had nothing in it...

I've always come back to find I've been logged out at home if I access my account elsewhere. Even if I access my account through another browser on the same computer, it logs me out. I seem to remember them talking about this, that two computers can't be logged in at the same time in the same account-- but obviously, some people can. I'll definitely remember now to log out always if I use a public computer...

I don't understand why TNT hasn't made it impossible for people to be logged into the same account at the same time. There's just no reason for it, even if you're, say, using 2 computers to try to transfer a pet -- you're logging into 2 different accounts. I've sent into suggestions/ideas numerous times this very issue.

The only way to stop 2 people being in the same account is, I think, changing the password and logging out, then back in. The other person is, I believe, then kicked out. Like if you get hacked or scammed and that person changes your password, you'll be logged out. Which is why when people get randomly logged out they kind of panic (I know I would!).

Anyway, if at all possible, don't use a public computer and if you do use one, try to be aware of people around you when you're logging in so no one is sitting there watching you type your username and password. And always log out! If possible, delete the Neopets cookie (and cookies to any other place you were on that public computer) as an internet safety precaution.

Probably because it would be the sensible thing to do!! :S

seriously tho, it would make much more sence. at the moment it seems to be random whether you're logged in or not. i've been on a combination of this computer and my bro's computer over the last few days and it hasnt logged me out of either. he was even using my account to look at the portal the other day on his computer WHILE i was on it on this computer and it didnt log either of us out, but then sometimes it's really tempermental.... could it be in the personal settings somewhere? *runs off to check*

*runs back*
There's nothing there that can see. its just another oddness.

It is possible to have two accounts running if you use two different browsers.

Yes, but that's 2 different accounts - no one should be able to be logged into the same account at the same time, whether it's on 2 browsers or 2 computers. That's what I think needs to be changed.

That's a very good idea - I always do that when I go to Neopets on a public computer. I always delete cookies, clear history, and clear AutoComplete (if it's turned on). You should be able to find these under Tools > Internet Options (in IE, I would think it's similar in other browsers).
