A change in Neo's policy?

I have had a complete change of heart with respect to Neopets.

Last weekend, I had a rollbackof my SDB, like many others. I sent in this bug report: "It appears that you must have done a roll back on my SDB--because stuff I put in on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are gone, and stuff I took out of it on Saturday, Sunday and Monday are back in it. I lost numerous items, including 8 or 9 glamour neggs, 7 purple neggs, and 2 plain neggs. Is there anyway you can fix this?"

Today, I log into my account and what is sitting in my inventory: all of the neggs I had reported missing! I figured it was the doings of either my daughter or husband--or that my guild members had felt sorry for me and had decided to send me these neggs.

But, no, it was Neopets. I just checked my emails and got this one from a support person at Neopets: "Hi, Your neggs are back in your inventory.
If you have any other questions, don't forget to include the entire text of this e-mail with your username clearly at the top. This will help me better address your situation."

Someone knock me over with a feather please. In all of my days, I have never, ever gotten any of my stuff back--until now.

Thank you, Neo--for rethinking your compensation policy. I believe that I am now your number one fan.

:D Wow, congratulations!

I have never encountered that kind of generous helpfulness from them, but I have also been fairly lucky with regard to some of the worse glitches that go around.

Maybe this weekend they were able to check their database to see what items got deleted in the rollback!

Either way - it was nice of them to take the time.

Congrats Morningstar! It's about darn time you finally get some compensation for everything you've lost. :) I'm really happy for you.

Congrats! I didn't think they did things like that. I thought they said they didn't compensate loses due to glitches or something. It's good for you though! :)

I was lurking on the Neoboards today and saw that my friend who lost a Honey Potion, H4K, and SOS in the rollback got his items back too. :)

Yes, that was my understanding also. Every other time that I have complained about a lost item (and I have lost many items in the past), I got the standard "Sorry, we can't compensate for any lost items." Perhaps, Neo has had a change of heart? I hope others who also filed bug reports are just as successful.

I do agree that they must have changed their policy (or maybe it's only for this most recent glitch). Didn't Armi just get her Ring of Weightlessness back too?

Something similar happened to me a couple of months ago, I had been away from neo a few months and when I got back my Fire Jetsam had turned to a Mutant Jetsam. I mailed TNT and a day later my dar..*coughs* cool, strong and mean Jetsam was back to normal

Wow, that's awesome. It's nice to know that neo gave back your missing items. It's real sweet of them. I wonder if they will do that from now on if items are lost?
