Greater Healing Scroll~

I am wondering what the opinions are regarding the Greater Healing Scroll that's available right now. I was in a Battledome fight (2 player) and I am equipped with Kacheek Life Potion (I have 86 HP) The person I was battling had this scroll and it restored 50 NP to him!
I have looked up the info in the battlepedia and it isn't a whole lot of help. Is this a single use item that you have to buy every time, or is it a one time per battle and is it worth the NP?

You can use it once per battle to heal 50 hp.
However, it eventually breaks.

http://idb.finalhit.org// is a good site to find battle info, I think the battlepedia you went to was the neopets one, right? That one is quite useless.
