Well, first of all, I don't know much about this, feel free to add.
Well, over the last few months, I have gotten very good pets from the pound.
Exhibit A: Tyrannian Kougra
Exhibit B: Baby Kyrii
Exhibit C: Thornberry Chia
Exhibit D: Darigan Lupe
Exhibit E: Desert Lupe.
All these pets I have managed to get. While I have seen many more, such as a Baby Kougra, Orange Grundo, and many more, not in transfers - im positively sure of this, I mailed their owners myself.
Has the pound been heeding better pets? Or is it just me? Have Neopians suddenly lost a taste for painted pets? Or is this all just my imminangation

Maybe you should lie down...
Me too, I managed to grab a faerie grundo and a halloween lupe(with a decent normal name)

I've gotten three painted pets that way, a white eyrie, a radioactive aisha, and a halloween jubjub.
It's a lot cheaper than buying PB's though it takes a bit of patience.

Well, there are a lot of people who will pick up unpainted pets from the pound and paint (through lab ray) and play with them and put them back so they could go to a good home. Some people even attach petpets or battledome items. It's fun sometimes to follow the pets and send a little message to whoever picks them up explaining what you did. I have received responses from many people thanking me and saying they didn't know about the lab map or that have decided to do the same for others. It's good to know you are helping give painted pets to people who wouldn't have been able to afford them.

Yes I paint pets too and put them in the pound for others to adopt, I currently have a cloud tonu thats pretty much ready to go in. Its a growing trend I think, so expect to see many more painted pets!!:D

I would do it except I don't have the NP for a lab map and probably never will. I'm too lazy to play that many games...

I'd like this statement clarified.
You say you mail the owners... it doesn't tell you who the owners are.
It doesn't say "So and so, has abandoned a pet" unless things have changed in the two weeks i've not been to the Pound...

No, no, if I see a painted pet in the pound, and I miss them, I usually like to congratulate the new owner, by mailing them, by looking the pet up. I also ask them if they were doing a transfer, and most of the time, I get a no.

Your statements just changed.
You said positivly the first time, meaning in my eyes at least; that 100 percent of these pets weren't transfers.
But also, they could have been at the pound too, looking for pets. They still may have been meant to be transfers, but they could just have been picked up by other people.

I do believe there is a statement somewhere telling people not to use the pound to transfer pets from one account to another, so even if you botch someone's transfer, it's their fault for breaking rules anyhow.

Stop picking on them!

there is almost always multiple people refreshing at the pound.... and you were one of them at those particular times... so there probably was a pet transfer... and you got in the middle of it!!
I still think its wrong to adopt pets just because of there color though...

I've only caught one, my precious Baby Bruce with a fairly decent name (A few numbers). However I have seen 2 Draiks, a Krawk, a few more babies, as well as assorted other pets.

IF we were talking about real animals, I would agree with you, but these are just pixels on a screen.
