Does anyone know how fast a pet's mood runs down? Or they get hungry? Because if people are still getting random events and their np are being adjusted accordingly. Then pets stats might also be changing and after over 12 hours ...
So has anyone ever worked out how many hours it takes for a pet to get hungry and angry? Reassurance would be most welcome.

ant, our pets will probably be hungry, I hope we don't get the site back, log in and find alot of unhappy or angry pets :/ I know my pets are all stuck at the academy.
But I don't think there would be any RE's while the site's down. Best we can do is wait, when the site is back up and running, then we can all go get our pets out of training (if they're there), and I plan to put all mine in the neolodge for a couple of days with lots of extras to get them full and keep them happy!

I don't know, really. I have never seen a pet have "angry" as their status, but.. I notice my pets can go over a day without getting hungry, I believe.
If you want to keep them happy, though, try Tiki Tours or the Merry Go Round on Roo Island. But of course, a cheap toy works.. I just find the rides easier.
Don't worry about it too much, though. It's only a game. Besides, there are hundreds of Random Events.
EDIT: I understand your post better now.. I was totally sure what you were talking about. I don't think I really answered you, did I?
But yeah, the NeoLodge is great! You only have to play with them, then..

I love these events. Only a few people actually feed and play with their pets. This keeps people on their toes and actually taking care of them.

I've found that I can starve my pets all I want and their moods won't drop much, if at all. if your pets were extremely happy and fed they should be alright for a day, but I doubt anything would happen during a downtime.

Everytime the site goes down like this, pets seem to "freeze" and their hunger and mood levels don't change. Should have nothing to worry about.
I've found it's *very* difficult to lower my pet's mood (with the exception of the pet I zap with the lab ray).

I would of thought it was to do with the database the database would not work if the sites down thus meaning the levals and stats cant change!

Thanks for the reassurance. There so much about this game to figure out. Too much time spent thinking about what's the worst that could happen to my pet. I'll take the advice about the neolodge when the site comes back. It's a relief to know that the pets are frozen during glitches. Last time when the servers were acting up I lost a petpet that I was trying to give to my pet. Stupid newbie mistake I now know. Thanks again for the reassurance.

I've abandoned accounts and gone back a *year* later and though the pets were starving, their mood was still "content".
The only way to really tick a pet off is let it be sick and not cure it or if it breaks a toy or you try to repeatedly feed it something it doesn't like.

You should be fine, I think that you have to neglect your pet for quite a long time before they get angry. Im lucky though, I put my pets in the neolodge just yesterday so they will be fed and happy!:P

I agree that it takes a long time to make a pet upset. Just try to cure your pet as fast as you can by getting the medicine it needs or by going to the Healing Springs until she cures your pet. Even when the pet is sick and getting very unhappy, you can still play games with it or give it toys to play with to get its happiness back up.

I just keep my pets in the cheapest neolodge with one extra for the max amount of time. It keeps them happy and fed, and I don't ever have to worry about problems because they always e-mail me when they check out of the lodge. ^_^' Cheap and a lot easier than running around worrying about them turning red or blue. ._. (I'd die if my Kougra changed colors)

I know what you mean about being worried. I have a pet painted fairie and another rainbow. The fairie paintbrush I don't think I can replace, so it does make me uneasy that the pet could change color. I've been using the neolodge more often, but I've noticed that if the pet gets sick that even though I keep visiting the healing fairie that the pet gets unhappy pretty quickly. So I like the idea I read above about playing with it to pull up the mood.

Lab ray makes them unhappy, but I assume they have to unhappy for quite awhile before thier color changes.
IF you don't want RE's changing your pet, don't have that pet as your MAIN pet. It also protects it from diseases or events from the wheels or RE's that affect your main pet and the snowager's icy blast.

Oh! Thank you, Stampsyne! I hadn't thought about this. I appreciate the advice.
