Neopets vs. Powerpets

I was kind of bored so I just started typing names of other virtual pets sites when I discovered that the username, POWERPETS, was frozen because it was "deemed an inapropriate username." LOL, is TNT afraid of a little competition? Powerpets sucks anyway... You can't even make a comparison with it to the legendary Neopets. They even copied the side bar layout.

on the topic of other pet sites, does anyone know why nutrinopets isnt working?? whenever i go to the page i just get the cannot be displayed thing.

Powerpets? I got a virus from them. It's basically a animal rights site. (OT: Don't get me wrong, I don't like animal abuse, but I don't think we should bow down to them. ) I quit after I got a computer again.

Wow. O_o Powerpets? It's a particularly good username in my opinion, they shouldn't immediatly assume it was referring to one of their rival pet sites. I've seen other pet sites who have active usernames that like neopetz_rulez. and neopian_person. And there are tons of Neopets rip-offs. Theres a list of virtual pet sites here. Not all of them are Neopets rip-offs, in fact quite a few are good. But if you're looking for a couple Neopet copies, there ya go.

If you search for Nutrinopets on google, under one of the links (to their gameroom, I think) you will see the description saying "We are closed and we will be back later". So my guess is they're down for matenence.

Oh man. Powerpets is so annoying. Their battle system is original but it sucks so there are no real players. And every person is a newbie who is struggling to earn cash and be elite. I became elite a while ago and no elites are ever online since i assume they quit.

I detest these topics because someone comes in battering the competition for Neopets.

Yes, Neopets is a good virtual pet site but smaller virtual pet sites tend to be more interactive with their users.

Back on the issue, I can understand why Neopets wouldn't want any competition. But 'powerpets' could simply be an original name someone created. Anywho, it makes sense why the froze it. They don't want users advertising other virtual pet sites.

First of all battling isn't everything. I have had an account for some time and became elite long ago. I still visit and play everyday. It is more of an education based site than neopets. As far the the sidebar idea mentioned above, I know for fact that it came by way of suggestion and poll by the users. They also want to make people aware of animals in general and the hazzards we as humans pose to them with our over extent of natural resorces.

I play more marapets than any other these days. It's kind of ghetto but I like their free mah jongg game and jewels.

Also, the people on the boards are nicer and you can actually chat without being randomly frozen unless you just do something blatantly stupid...

Ok, it is a cool username, but at the same time I can understand why it was deemed inappropriate. I know there are other virtual pet sites and they all seem to offer different things. I also note that some people have gone to some of thes other sites, made up usernames with neopets in them for the sole purpose of at least annoying people on those sites.

I can't think of a site that would want anyone in anyway advertising a competing site, not just pet sites, but any type of site.

Just IMO, even though I know I do complain , I still happen to think Neo is the best virtual pet site there is. It's easy to navigate, very user friendly (except the BD - that still mystifies me) and for me, who has briefly joined other sites and left, it remains the place for me.

One of Nutrinopets's first pets was what I guess was a cat- and it looked VERY MUCH like a Kadaotie.
