Scamming potential in the new shop system

Yea, since the new system with the item you are looking for is at the top, I didn't scroll down far enough and clicked on a fake item that took me (thankfully) to the person's pet's page.

I forsee great potential for misguidance without there being a space between shop text and items for sale. Saw two other people do the same thing today ... so it's not jUST me.

They need to ban all those fake items and fake "something has happened" things IMO. They're annoying at the very least, and clicking something and finding yourself redirected, even within the site is just not cool.

Personally I don't like them much either, but some people use them for symbolic reasons. I remember seeing a 'fake item' that represented Freedom from Terrorism for example. I'm positive you've all seen the like.

And some people work very hard on them you have to admit, but a few of them are extremely annoying.

Yeah, but the things like "something has happened! The shadow Usul steals all your items and neopoints! Click here to chase it!" ones are extremely annoying, and sometimes, if you're all sleepy and been staying up waaaaaaay too long, makes you rush over to your bank to make sure all your points are still there.

But that's a political topic, which isn't allowed on the site anyway. Fake items in shops should definitely be banned, IMO, regardless of what the owner is using them for.

Couldn't agree more. I know it's extreme but it's getting to the point where I'd like to see all html in shops banned because of the fake items and stupid pictures that are broken images half the time.. and the music.. grr.

urgh i really don't like the fake REs they get so annoying and soemtimes its like wow! i got a codestone! and then you look closer..

the fake items, i just don't think politics and neopets really should mix, country patriotism i know will be there, people like to say where their from, but political statements need to be removed, although i think freezings a bit harsh,

but the images hyruxo come from off neopets, so i guess thats how they get in.

I don't usually put anything more than my guild image in my shop, but I do have a fake re in there right now. I am not one of those people who thinks anything cute has to go in my shop but I thought this RE was. It's not a free item or someone stole something type of thing.. It says "You have found the cheapest shop in Neopia" and the image next to it is a lupe, which goes with my shop theme. I hope no one thinks that's one of the annoying REs.

i don't find that annoying, its more the fake items that trick you into thinking you've actually found something yours is quite cute

When I first started playing Neoptes I had a fake RE in my shop that said something close to "The tooth Faerie takes one of your teeth" .. it didn't say she gave you anything however my shop was reported for my RE and my whole shop description was cleared and I got a warning stating fake RE's and fake items were not allowed!

I don't have a problem with shops that have them. unless they have 5 or more of them in a row and I have so keep scrolling to get to their items that are being sold... and music .. BLAH.. I just close the shop and find another one without music .. the music always lags my computer up.

I've really had enough of it. Scrolling down from "You have found a paint brush! Click here to find it!" is REALLY annoying.

As for the scam potenial involving the shop wiz, that could happen. People just have to be more aware of themselves now when buying items by the shop wiz.
