I found that before...and even posted it in the Screenie thread.
I have a hunch that it's just a new random event being worked on, except the code for it must have been released early. If anyone's wondering, my inventory, NP on hand, bank account, etc. stayed the same after I recieved it.

Okay, when you said that, it made me wonder if this wonderful "Nothing has Happened' has something to do with the plot.
I got one while playing Neoquest... they started coming out after Neo was down for a half day I think... maybe while they were fixing things, they accidently released it?

I got that playing Cliffhanger yesterday. I found a Super Icy Negg in my inventory today.. *shrugs*

Sort of the same thing happened to me... I got it yesterday. I then noticed that my Striped Lenny Plushie was missing. 150k down the drain

Hmm...now that it seems as though stuff actually happened from these events, it's probably just a glitch that doesn't allow you to see what the event is. It seems to be fixed now though, but I could be wrong.

Im not sure if it is fixed, that only happened to me 5 mins before I posted, so its very recent...
Nothing has happened as yet, nothing new, nothing gone, no extra NPs... nothing....

You could rightclick/view properties (or whatever) the lil red x and maybe it'd hint at what it was supposed to be. :o

I just got this event. When you right-click and go to properties, it just says "http://images.neopets.com/" and nothing more. Which would make sense, because if you linked to an entire image server folder then of course the "picture" would be broken No increase in NP, no new items, no lost items.
