Petpets no longer effective?

Apologies if this has already been posted, but a while back petpets were removed from use in all battledome fights. Is this a glitch? Intentional? Help!

PPT IDB has recently reported, after they sent TNT an e-mail, that they are currently working on fixing this, so don't worry.
