Daily Giveaway Glitch!

ARGH! Due to some sad person complaining about Neopets being a "gambling" site Australians have had all games of luck / chance blocked till the end of the McDonalds neopets promotion. Fair enough ... I've been very disappointed but understood Neopets actions. (And there's only four days left!!!)

However now we have yet another problem occuring ... the McDonald's Daily Giveaway ... one place I COULD contemplate visiting whist everything else was blocked is broken! It either tells me I've already collected my prize (not true) or, more recently: "Oops! This giveaway is for Australian users only. Nice try though. " But hey wait a mo ... I AM Australian so why won't it recognise me???

It appears to be an Aussie means we get a double whammy .. no luck / chance games and no Daily Givaway. We poor Aussies already feel like second class citizens in in terms of Neopets ... we'd LOVE to get more merchandise down here but when we finally DO get some merchandise (the Neopet plushies with McDonalds) we lose out in other areas.

So come on Neopets .... please give us poor Aussies a break and let us get something for the last few days!!!

I think many people (if not all) cannot collect the McDonald's freebies too, and I am getting the same message. But then, I am not Autralian either.

I think I just got a little peeved coz it happened again and I happen to be still up late as I'm sick with the flu and can't sleep. *sad excuse but there you go!*

It'd be nice to be able to have a chance to have got it anyhow ... oh and the mention of plushie novas reminds me ... we're only getting the 15 pets as plushie Down Under. I noticed that in the US they also got Plushie Magical Novas, Speckled Neggs, Ultranovas and Starry Paint Brushes.

Well, what do you really expect? We're Australians.

Seriously, I've become used to getting only some things from the US, or inferior things, etc. (point in case, I've just spent 2 weeks trying to chase down a PAL version of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness with no luck).

I'm just thankful we DID get the plushies. Maybe that will open the way to the better-quality ones.

And as for the giveaway...I'm used to Neopets glitching and smurfing me over. Since I'm not an avatar collecter, I can just shrug and go 'meh'.

I had the same problems and I'm Australian too, I've gotten to the point now where I'm not expecting anything major from the site, at least that way I'm suprised when something does go well
