On Monday, Neopets announced that all luck/chance games and the soup kitchen have been cancelled because a family in Australia objected.
On Tuesday, Neopets announced that red wine, white wine and rose wine are now banned items due to the complaints of a Baptist preacher in Boaz, Alabama. If you currently own these items, they will disappear and be replaced by a red apple. To prevent a Muslim outcry and be proactive, Neopets is also banning any items containing the words "ham", "bacon" or items containing pork products. If you currently own one of these items, it will be replaced by a red apple.
On Wednesday, Neopets announced that due to a complaint by a home-schooling family of Pentecostals in Georgia, all magic items and faeries have been banned. Those owning these items will find a red apple replacing them.
On Thursday, having received a complaint from the Mormons, Neopets decided to ban all items containing caffeine. This includes all chocolate items, neocolas, teas, coffees. If you own any of these items, they will be replaced by lovely red apples.
On Friday, Neopets announced that, pirates being awful role models for young players, Krawk Island will be permanently closed and dubloons will no longer be honored. If you own any dubloons, you will be happy to hear that you will receive one red apple for each dubloon owned.
On Saturday, Neo-pets announced that the Haunted Forest will be permanently closed and all spooky items will be banned. You will, of course, be glad to receive one red apple for each spooky item in your inventory.
On Sunday, Neopets announced that since the only allowable item seems to be red apples, and since the Neopets are all rioting at the idea of eating another blasted apple, the site will go back to its former format but ID’s will be checked at the door.

heheh. Hey Chloe!
You know for some reason, I can see some of this coming true. A whole load of 'caring' parents getting carried away. Heck even one mum can cause heaps of damage.

Yeah I agree. If the "caring mums" disprove of the content on Neopets, they should just ban their own children from playing it, and not go around nosing into what content the site decides to put up.

Actually it is Jewish people who dont eat pork products. Muslims have to have anything kosher and Hindus think cows are sacred so all Kaus will nw also be replaced with a red apple ^_~

lol it shows you what happens when you take things too far.. red apples! but what if people start complaining in the manner of adam and eve? apples started it all remember?
so to be safe, all apple will be changed into piles of dung.

Yeah, you see thats what really annoys me. But it was the same with Pokemon and Harry Potter.
"Oh No! Pokemon promotes violence and fighting and violates animal rights! Ban it quickly before our children are permanently scarred!"
"Oh My Lord! Harry Potter! How dare that JK Rowling go around promoting Satanic arts! Burn her books!"
And now neopets....
"Oh no! It promotes GAMBLING! McDonalds made the website because they've run out of ideas and can't think properly!!!" (it's funny how half of Australia now thinks that Neopets is owned by McDonalds)
And soon, some newbie is going to tell their mum about the battledome, and we'll have a whole new crusade of animal rights activists to deal with.

Muslims don't eat pork products too.
As for your addition to the joke. I don't agree. I would say that since Hindus think cows are sacred, Kaus will be elevated to limited edition Neopets, and all Kau morphing potions will no longer be sold since how can you simply morph your pet into something sacred?

Oh heck, I'm surprised the whole Halloween thing hasn't come to light yet. And it's what I'm most scared of.
It's no secret I'm pagan, and have been told by several of my friends that Halloween (My FAVORITE holiday!) is evil and should be banned from schools, and a plethora of other things. I don't want to lose the Halloween things on Neopets, but I fear that it's next, and if they do that, it'll be Christmas after that. -_- Why can't people just accept that it's just a game?!

Ok, you know, some people might find that offensive, like me...because it's kinda making fun of Muslims, and that's just not right...ok, i'm done...

Actually the whole joke is about making fun of the rigidity of different groups of people, not only Muslims.

It's not really making fun of Muslims hun. It's more making fun of the extremist state of mind when it comes to Neopets. It's a satire on the recient gambling ban, basically showing how ridiculous it really is...

Even if it is satire, I would still find it mildly offensive.
