Wed Oct 06, 2004 12:18 am

*200 years later*

It was hacked in May and been frozen ever since >_>
Does anyone have any tips? Like who to send e-mails to and such?

Will be moving this to Neopets Help. :)

Speaking of the Neopets Help board here, there's an FAQ there that covers what to do when frozen.

I can't really offer you any assistance or suggestions as I'm in the same boat. I've been frozen for over and month now and I've sent about 5 e-mails to get my account back but I always get a reply back saying I should be filling in a certain form, I fill in that certain form and get a reply back saying I should be filling in one of the forms I've already filled in. I wish I could just get a straight answer about which form I'm supposed to be sending in. Anyways, good luck getting your account back, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

SCan your Identity card, blank areas you do not want others to see. Explain what happened. What did the hacker do to your account that got it frozen?

RE: Abuse Submission - abuse: account access
Hi,

Thank you for your inquiry. You need to use the Frozen form located at
http://www.neopets.com/contact.phtml. Please fill out as much of the
information that you can on the form, including your username, birthdate, and
e-mail address you used when you signed up. You can also include any
information about your Neopets and items that you think will help identify you
as the owner.

Sadly, as you can see the two that you've suggested are the two that have had me running around in circles for the last month. Got any other Staff suggestions or are these the only two?

This account has been FROZEN for the following reason:

You MAY have either fallen for a scam or submitted your account information to a fake login page. If you'd like information on getting your account back, please contact us by clicking here.

If you think the above reason was applied to you by mistake, please contact our support staff by clicking here. Don't forget to include your USERNAME and explain why you think your account should not have been frozen.

I suppose in theory I should be able to get my account back as I did nothing wrong...

Be polite. That's the number one thing to do when attempting to get your account back.

Tell them what happened and give them proof that you are the owner of the account.

Be polite. I know I said it, but I can't stress that enough. Trust me, be nice and polite and they'll do the same back.

Trust me, this works. I'd know, I got my own account (a very old one) back today by doing that (though I also said why I thought I was frozen unfairly, because my account was frozen, not hacked and frozen). :P
