Flash Game plug-in problem (?!)

I have dowenloaded the new plugin required to play the Dice Escape game. The game worked terribly slow for me, so I am not really playing that game now.

Then I just noticed that after this flash plugin update, some of the flash games I always play seem to be distorted after being loaded to my screen, particularly Whack a Kass and Faerie Bubbles.

I don't know (and not sure) if the real culprit is my upgrade of the plugin, but is there a way I can remove the plugin (since I am not playing Dice Escape anyway)? Help!

I'd say re-download and reinstall first... you may have gotten a glitch in it when dl'ing

I've had this happen to me too. I'd do as timkhj suggests and try reinstalling it first.. if that doesn't work, I'd go to macromedia and see if they have any suggestions. I've never had to remove a plugin before, so that's the only thing I can think of. Sorry.

Just do as said above, un-install macromedia flash then just re-install a clean version.

I thought Dice Escape was a Shockwave game and it required a 3D Accelorator card. The lack of either or both of those could be causing the problems you're having with that particular game. For the other games, do what the others said.

Dice escape is a shockwave game - not just flash...and yes, you do need the 3D accelerator (part of your graphics card) -- I didn't even know mine had it! :oops:

But it does.

So you need flash and the latest upgrade to Shockwave -- do yourself a favor on the shockwave -- download the stand alone version. I went and just clicked the upgrade? They've snuck a d/l of yahoo toolbar into the regular upgrade. So, I think I've gotten rid of all of that, but I want to uninstall the shockwave and reinstall. Just can't deal with how long it can take on dial up. You can check if your flash/shockwave is up to date on the macromedia site too.

mocha, just go to macromedia.com, you'll find the d/l you need there

I miss it - they used to have the link right on the game window where it would normally start to load if you didn't have the right version (or no version).

Thanks for the responses, I hope it would work, I don't care about Dice Escape now, I just want the games I play before to work.

Yeah, Sutek's tomb and whack-a-kass is distorted for me too, and I haven't downloaded that flash plug-in... But the games still work OK.

Yeah, I didn't think it was the plug-in, I thought it was because I was playing in low quality o_O

Yup, a bug report sounds good

Is the game actually working for you? The problem for me is everything is distorted, but the functions still work and I can send score normally...

Is the game actually working for you? The problem for me is everything is distorted, but the functions still work and I can send score normally...

The Faerie Bubbles works fine, only distorted.

The Whack a Kass game, however, I can't see the velocity of the wind, so I end up just observing the appearance of the flag, and do the whacking when it is in the extreme left.

I can send scores in all games.

Other games I play (Meerca Chase, Usuki Frenzy, Gadgadsgame etc. ) works fine.

Oh yup, that's the same thing as me, but it doesn't matter too much, I hit when it's extreme left aswell

I hope they fix it soon though
