Glitch with Shockwave Games?

Fri Aug 13, 2004 5:55 pm

I recently tried to play Frumball, and was confronted by a sad Faerie Usul saying that I needed to download the plugin. Well, I downloaded the plugin and installed it, but the Usul is still there, though the game is running well (but cut off) below it.

How can I fix this? I would stretch out the page but I don't think you can.

Are you running a browser besides interenet explorer? I use a browser besides IE also, I had this problem before. If your mouse button has scroll, just click on the window and scroll down.

This happens to me for hannah and the pirate caves, that's cause I clicked the link leading from hannah. Weird bug.

I'm using Netscape 7.1. No, I can't scroll it.

I have that problem with Firefox. It causes some graphical errors in the slots flash games... Nice if they would fix that, I dont like that usul being in the top of the page.

I've not gotten the faerie usul, but I do use IE and flash games have been laggy/buggy lately.

Actually ever since the Meridell Plot and the have to download shockwave, they're been weird.

I know that they were using just flash, then started with the shockwave and alot of people had problems with games. so they went back to flash. Games worked fine - even on dial up. Now? Not so good.

This may be something happening today though. I had to sign off and back on like 3 times trying to get Sutek's Tomb to load. It would start, then just sit there and froze my browser up. And yes, I keep everything cleaned out.

Im using netscape too and i have the exact same problem, only with Hannah and the pirate caves and bowls. It usually comes up with an error message too saying that the plugin has caused an illegal operation. So I have to restart netscape, I just do those games on IE now.

Ah, so they will work in IE? I'll have to use it then if I want to play Frumball I guess. Such a shame, I dislike IE.

I have the same problem...
What I did was copy the url of the game and paste it in a regular browser....
But it looks bad, so thats why I don't play the games that require shockwave.

I wish they had kept the games at just being flash. They all seem the same, I don't know why they went and added the shockwave thing in again.

Especially on dial-up, ugh. Some games are completely unplayable, even on low quality. They still don't play right.. they have these weird little split second pauses, run slow. The only difference for me on the quality is low looks horrible as well as plays horrible.

And for other browser users who shockwave isn't compatible with ... well that just doesn't seem fair!

I was so happy for, when a while, they took the shockwave part away and it was just flash. Everything worked so much better, at least the games I play. No, I don't and won't ever play Volcano Run. Not with the weird timing thing on that game ... not getting frozen for "cheating" when I honestly wouldn't know a cheat if I fell over one. I won't even chance the "legal" Neo "cheats".
