The Faerie Festival is live.

Faerie Festival FAQs
Wheel Of Excitement gives you one free spin a day
Soup Kitchen has had its limits removed for free feeding

There is a bonus prize for visiting quests every day of the event. This is just for collecting the free prize at the FQ page. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting the hub page every day, as well as the Faerie Quest page (and eventually donation page), based on last year. Who knows what they'll do for other bonus prizes? After the fiasco of not knowing what the requirements were for fully participating, I plan on clicking every place I can every day this year. I expect we'll see Orion show up as well...
Some specific prizes have already been found.

I will add to this post when I have a few minutes (maybe later tonight? I'm not sure when. Still catching up on things.) Updated the FAQs (mostly the same as last year) and put in the first dialogue now.

Key FAQ notes:
Faerie Quests
How long does the event last?
The event begins on 09/24 and will end on 10/10. After the event is over, regular faerie quests will resume via Random Events, so keep an eye out for those fluttering wings!

What is the Faerie Festival event about?
This year, the Faerie Festival event is all about coming together to have fun and help donate as many items as you can to save them from turning grey! Fyora called upon Illusen and Jhudora once more for this year's festivities, but this time, they are to make their own festivals on purpose and have a friendly competition to see who can collect the most items! Which Faerie Festival will you be attending? While invites will be sent out to opt into the donating portion of the event on 09/26, the faeries will give participants a few days to mull their decision before festival goers have to officially choose a team on 10/01.

Can I cancel a quest once I am on it?
Yes, you can choose to abandon a quest at any time. However, if you decide to abandon a quest, you will not have the opportunity to replace it with another quest. You'll need to wait until the following day for another quest to be offered to you. You will not miss out on the final prize offered for visiting each day. If you abandon a quest on the final day of the event, you will not have the opportunity to complete a quest until a quest is randomly offered to you through a regular Random Event.

If I cancel a quest, is there a penalty?
Nope! You're free to abandon a quest if you like. However, you won't be able to accept another quest until tomorrow if you abort today's quest.

Can I choose which Neopet receives the reward from the faerie quest?
The reward for completing a quest will be applied to your active Neopet.

Do I have to complete a quest every day?
Nope. You're given the option of completing a quest every day, but you don't have to; you will still get a gift for visiting the page each day.

Do I have to complete a quest in order to receive a prize?
Nope. You're given the option of completing a quest every day, but you don't have to; as long as you visit the page each day you will still get a gift at the end.

Can I participate in the event on my side account(s)?
For the event, I'm afraid, no.
Since regular faerie quests are given out in Random Events, you may participate in those on your side account(s) if you happen to receive one, so long as you earned the NP for the requested item on your main account. (Remember, earning NP or items on side accounts isn't allowed.)
However, since the faerie quest event -- where you receive a "free" faerie quest every day -- gives out extra daily rewards, it is treated like any other event or daily and you may only participate on your main account.

Are there any other prizes I should know about?
Yes, you can receive prizes for participating in the festival every day, completing the festival story, donating the maximum number of items each day, and visiting the Faerie Quest Page each day!

How many faerie quests can I receive in one day?
Every day during the event, when you visit the Hubpage, you can receive a random Faerie Quest. You can choose to complete or abandon this quest. If you have a Faerie Quest Fortune Cookie, you can also receive that quest.

Recycling
What's this Donating Items all about?
Many items around Neopia have been turning grey, so this year, Queen Fyora has asked that citizens donate any items they are willing to part with so they can be saved and kept as important resources if ever needed! Even the smallest of items could be helpful! Like last year's Recycling, you can bring these items to Jhudora or Illusen daily. As a reward, they each gathered some fine prizes for generous donations.

Why should I donate?
On top of the warm fuzzy feeling you get from helping, there are plenty of prizes for generous Neopians. Illusen and Jhudora will store the items you bring them and reward you with points you can exchange for all kinds of fun prizes within the prize shop. Every Neopet wins! Also, there are bonus prizes for those who donate each day.

How do I donate items?
You can donate a maximum of 30 items per day by clicking on the “Donate Items” button on the Faerie Festival Hubpage. You can donate up to 10 items at once, selecting them from both your inventory. After donating your items, a pop-up will inform you of how many points you earned for the prize shop.

Can I still donate Snowballs?
Yes... however, they’re still only worth one point!

Are there any perk rewards?
I'm afraid not. But Illusen and Jhudora will offer rewards at the prize shop for your generosity.

Does the rarity of the item(s) I donate affect the points I earn?
For-Shoyru (...That means "yes")! The higher the rarity of an item you donate, the more points you earn.
r1-r79: 1 point
r80-89: 2 points
r90-97: 6 points
r98-r100: 4 points
Sticky Snowball: 1 point (a restriction in 2020, despite being r100)
r101: 1 point
r102-r179: 8 points

I've donated but didn't get any prizes yet. When can I expect them?
You will earn your points as soon as you donate items. So, if you are unsure of the amount of points you have accumulated, check the prize shop or your checklist, which lists your points at the top. At the end of the event, everyone who participated will receive a trophy recognising their valiant efforts!

What will Illusen and Jhudora accept?
Only NP items can be donated. The rarer the item, the better the reward. So, choose wisely. Items can be donated up until 10/09.

How do the Donation Bonus Prizes work?
For donating 30 items each day, you will be awarded a Faerie Donating Capsule
- 60% chance of r90-95
- 25% chance of r96-98
- 15% chance of r99

What's available in the NP Prize Shop?
Illusen and Jhudora each have unique themed prize shops full of rare items suiting their personal tastes. Some are so difficult to obtain, so they can only be purchased once from the prize shop! - Note: There has been no evidence of limits on items, same as last year.

Will I get these items back?
No. For now, they will be kept safe in an undisclosed location. If they are ever needed, the leaders of each land will ration them out as they see fit. Hopefully, that will never happen and once the threat of greyification is one day gone the items will be released evenly throughout the lands once again. But to be clear, they will not be given back to those who donated them.

Festival Dialogue Scenes:
Scene 1
Queen Fyora: Hello again you two.
Illusen: Queen Fyora why have you called us here? Shouldn't you be with the Council?
Queen Fyora: I know, but the Faerie Festival is important too. However, I don't have much time for planning. Which is why I called for the two of you once more.
Jhudora: Please don't tell me you're pairing us together again. I think last year was proof we can't work together!
Queen Fyora: As much as I would like to see you two get along again, I simply don't have the time to argue. So no, I am not going to ask you to run the festival with one another again.
Illusen: Then why are we here?
Queen Fyora: During these difficult times, communities need to come together in any way they can. This is why I believe putting on the Faerie Festival is vital.
However, there is no time and with many important resources turning grey around the globe, many may be feeling too helpless to attend.
And so I thought of a unique way to solve both problems at once!
Jhudora: We burn down this beacon of false hope and attempt to make change in actually productive ways?
Queen Fyora: No!
You two will hold your own festivals. Same as last year so there is no need to plan anything new.
And this year you two can compete to see who can get others to bring them as many items as possible!
Illusen: What sort of items?
Queen Fyora: Anything and everything!
We must preserve as many resources as possible to keep them safe from turning grey. Even the smallest of items could help out later down the line!
And this is a great way to get the community involved and show them that they too can help even in these dire times!
Jhudora: Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to not have to work with little miss prairie faerie over there, but with everything going on right now wouldn't our, or at least my, power be better extended elsewhere?
Illusen: What's wrong? Afraid I'll wipe the floor with you again, you sour candy reject?!
Yeah, that's right. I can do hurtful nicknames too!
Jhudora: Ugh, that didn't even make any sense!
Illusen: You don't make any sense!
Jhudora: Fine then! Screw helping elsewhere, let's do this thing! I'll throw a way better event than you anyways!
Illusen: Not if last year was any proof!
Queen Fyora: Stop acting like children!
Since this went about as well as I thought it would I will be sending someone to check in on you both periodically.
Jhudora: What? We don't need a babysitter!
Queen Fyora: That temper tantrum you both just threw indicates otherwise!
Nevertheless, he requested to be involved so this works out well.
For now, though, I will return to the Council. But I will be back from time to time to participate when needed. I trust you two to prepare on your own. Goodbye.
Jhudora: I don't like this...something is definitely up with this so-called "babysitter"?
Illusen: What do you mean?
Jhudora: This all seems like an awfully big risk just for Neopians to "feel included".
Illusen: I think it's a great idea! If communities stop coming together, they are bound to fall apart!
Jhudora: Seriously? You're not questioning this at all? It's not like the Queen is famous for always being forthright about all her plans.
Illusen: We need to trust that Queen Fyora knows what she is doing!
Jhudora: Like you're one to talk about trust.
Illusen: ...
Jhudora: Whatever. We only have a few days to prepare our own stuff, so I'm sure there are lots of leaves for you to collect for decorations or something. See you never, hopefully!
Fyora's head popup wrote:Faerie Festival is upon us!!
Judora and Illusen are still setting up, but they sent out invitations that you can read if you want!
While you wait, why not join the festival to partake in some fun quests?
Illusen wrote:Invitation
Illusen's Faerie Festival Invitation Enclosed!
Once again, you're cordially invited to this year's Faerie Festival, which is held in the woods just outside of Faerieland. We would be honored if you would join us in celebrating all Faeriekind and the community within our lovely Neopia. We know you have your choice of festivals, so we hope you will consider attending our stately soiree over any lesser imitation that may be circling about.
When the time comes, I hope you will choose to attend my festival. You can RSVP by joining the event. Do note, the Faerie Festival will run from this upcoming date of 09/24 until 10/10.
Jhudora wrote:If you're reading this it means you are invited to the Real/Fun/Superior Faerie Festival. Lucky you.
This will be where you can stretch your wings and cut loose. Not a snoozefest with snobby small talk!!! Bring food and any new dark magic spells or weapons you want to test in an unsafe environment.
So join the event now, and I'll save you a drink. And make sure you join MY event, got it? It's the only fun one if you get confused. When you choose to attend, remember that the Faerie Festival will run from this upcoming date of 09/24 until 10/10.
Scene 2 - Jhudora
Orion: Hel-hello cunning Dark Faerie Jhudora. I-I have come at the request of Queen Fyora to see how the festivities are coming along.
Jhudora: Ah, so the Queen sent her most recent problem child to be our babysitter, huh? How great.
Wait? You've come at her request? I thought she said you were the one who requested to come to the festivals.
Orion: We-well we both thought it pertinent t-to-
Jhudora: Why have you really come here?
Orion: Wi-with the Queen so busy I thought perhaps I could be of assistance during these difficult times...
I'll be travelling between you and Illusen from time to time, but I will mainly be held up in Faerieland doing some research with Seshatia in her library. If you need anything from me please don't hesitate to swing by.
Jhudora: Mhmm, I just might!
Scene 2 - Illusen
Orion: Hello kind Earth Faerie Illusen! I have come at the request of Queen Fyora to see how the festivities are going.
Illusen: Oh, hello Orion it is a pleasure to finally meet you.
Did you say that the Queen sent for you?
Orion: Yes, although I wished to be involved already.
Illusen: Ah, I see. How so?
Orion: With the Queen so busy I thought perhaps I could be of assistance during these difficult times.
So I'll be travelling between you and Jhudora from time to time, but I will mainly be held up in Faerieland doing some research with Seshatia in her library. So if anything occurs please don't hesitate to swing by.
Illusen: That is good to know. Thank you!

Scene 3
Orion: There has to be something here about this Lyre. I can't believe we've gone through so many books, scrolls, and tomes and yet there is nothing even slightly in reference into what could be happening to me...
Seshatia: Don't you worry. There's still plenty more for us to read. We will find something!
Orion: I don't know about tha-
Jhudora: Hey, insomniac bookworm you better start explaining things.
Orion: O-oh, Miss Jhudora it's a pleasure to see you-
Jhudora: Cut it, there's something fishy going on here and I don't like being lied to-
Illusen: Knock, knock. May I come in- oh Jhudora you are here too...
Orion: Miss Illusen! Is everything okay with the festivities?
Illusen: Yes, yes, my festival is going very well. I just came to-
Jhudora: Aha! You were suspicious too, weren't you?!
What happened to all that "we've got to trust the Queen" garbage you were spouting earlier?!
Illusen: I'm allowed to change my mind on things!
Besides, my being here does not mean I don't trust the Queen! But I will admit I had some possible concerns that I wanted to discuss with Orion before I jumped to any conclusions!
Which, by the look on his poor face, I can tell you've already done! What did you do to him?
Jhudora: Nothing! Talk about jumping to conclusions!
Seshatia: Ladies, if you are going to fight please either step outside or lower your voices. This is still a library!
Orion: Sorry, Miss Seshatia. I will handle this. You both have come with questions? How may I be of assistance?
Jhudora: Don't act all innocent! Why are you really here?! I know there's more going on than that pathetic answer you gave me the other day!
Illusen: Umm maybe I should do the talking... There seem to be some discrepancies between what the Queen has told us and what you seemed to have implied upon your arrival, and I was hoping for some answers as to why that may be.
She said you asked to be here, but you implied you were sent? And with everything going on...well to be throwing such a big event, it could be dangerous.
Jhudora: I knew you were worried about that!
Illusen: Of course I was worried! I trust the Queen, but that doesn't mean I'm not concerned!
Listen, Orion, if there is something more going on here we deserve to know.
Orion: *sigh* I told the Queen that we should have just explained my theory to you from the start.
I'm sure you two have heard about my visions, but if not, for the past few major gatherings in Neopia I have been given visions that seem to be leading me to something...
They tell me of horrible things, but they also seem to want to help possibly. To be honest there are still times when I question if everything is even real...
Either way, these visions seem to only appear when large crowds gather, or at least that is my current hypothesis on the matter.
When I told Queen Fyora of this she insisted I be part of the Faerie Festival to see if any new visions occur. I had the same thought myself but didn't think to act on it without her say so.
Jhudora: So the Queen decided to throw this event and put all of us in danger just to try and see if you maybe get visions that could maybe help us or that are maybe just the delusions of a scruffy, sleep-deprived man with a toy instrument?!
Orion: No of course not! She truly believes it important to hold the Faerie Festival. She had planned it even before I came to her.
And I believe she put you in charge because you are two of the most powerful faeries she has, and she trusts that if anything were to happen you would be able to handle it!
Jhudora: I...
Illusen: Why wouldn't she just tell us about you though?
Orion: She was worried about garnering false hope.
If I don't have any visions...or even worse, if any visions I have are bad, then there might be nothing you can do.
And...there's another potential issue... One that I may not have apprised the Queen on fully.
You see, during the Altador Cup, my visions, while not strong, affected me in a way I have never experienced before.
It was almost as if I was no longer fully myself... If it happens again, I am worried I won't be able to stop it.
Which is why I will mainly reside here. Sequestered away to research what may be causing this. Only checking in from time to time.
Jhudora: Great, so the problem child who was sent to watch us is now the one we need to be watching.
Orion: Unless any visions occur, I promise to leave you be!
Illusen: Are you sure you'll be okay here?
Orion: Yes, Seshatia is here if anything happens. For now, please return to your festivals. I will come by with any news if need be.

Scene 4
Seshatia: So, I was able to cross-reference the book on- Orion, are you okay?
Orion: Hahaha, yes! Can't you see, I am finally me!
Seshatia: ...you don't look good.
Orion: Well, you look great!
Oh, what a wonderful sight. A vision for the ages, your smile is quite contagious!
Seshatia: Orion, stop this at once!
Orion: Ah, you are right! I haven't come just to ask you out for a bite! This raggedy man is needed for my plan!
Seshatia: Whatever is going on. You are in my library and I will not let my friend be hurt!
Orion: Ah, is that so? Do you think you can handle me toe to toe?
Seshatia: I do not care, I do not fear! Take me on here and you will despair!
Look around, you are in my domain. Do you not know my name?
Orion: Ha! What a spark, you must think me such a lark!
Alright gorgeous, I quite like your chorus. But compared to me you would be thornless!
For don't you see, your sudden melody was done by me!
Seshatia: You seem to be nothing but a crook, so I will not hesitate to erase you from the history books!
So don't you dare underestimate what you see, as here -- your story belongs to me!
Orion: Fine, fine. It's not like I can stay long, I just came for a song. Ah, and now there is no time for revision as I must give this man a vision!
Aaaah!
Seshatia: Orion! Is it you again?!
Orion: Yes...yes it's me...I don't know what just happened.
Seshatia: You, you weren't you! Someone else was talking through you...
Orion: Who?
Seshatia: I don't know. As soon as I came into the room I could tell something was off. Your story felt different, and then the entity... It made me sing. Whatever or whoever it was must have been very strong to affect me like that while in my library.
Orion: I'm so sorry! Are you alright, did it hurt you in any way?
Seshatia: No, besides being a bit smug it wasn't really able to do anything else...but it did say something about giving you a vision. It must be connected to the Lyre. What were you doing before this happened?
Orion: Nothing in particular. I had just come upon this book labelled Jhudora and Illusen - The Untold Story and then my vision got all blurry...after that, it was like I was nowhere but conscious, wait, no I was with them...
I was watching Jhudora and Illusen fighting.
Seshatia: Well, that's not uncommon...
Orion: No, not each other. They were fighting alongside one another. They were fighting those things, the shades that have been appearing...
Seshatia: Jhudora and Illusen have not worked together in a very long time. Even in the most dire of situations they are found far from one another. If Jhudora is there at all, to be honest.
Orion: What happened between them?
Seshatia: I wouldn't know. Even that book you found only has theories really. To be honest, they used to be very close. Jhudora was still a very secretive individual even back then, but we all knew Illusen could get her out of her shell... It's a shame that it must have all been a ruse for whatever scheme Jhudora had planned. But still, no one really knows what she did or why they hate each other so much now. I have thoughts, but it's not my story to tell...
Orion: Then I'll have to go ask them myself.
Seshatia: What? No! That is not a good idea for many reasons, but foremost what if that entity comes back?! I can protect you to some degree within my library, but who knows what it will be capable of if it takes over again while you are out!
Orion: I think it should be okay. I feel incredibly drained from whatever it did before, and I think it must be too. I don't see it coming back to the strength it had before for some time...hopefully. Plus, I have to believe it is not here to hurt me. Why else would it be giving me these visions and trying to help?
Seshatia: We have no way of knowing its plan, or if what it is doing is even helping! So please, just...be careful.
Orion: I will. Be back soon!

Scene 5 - Jhudora
Orion: Miss Jhu-
Jhudora: Ugh, just call me Jhudora. Enough with this suck-up behaviour!
Orion: Of course, my apologies Mis-...Jhudora.
Jhudora: Whatever, why are you here?
Orion: I've come because I've had a vision...and well I need a favour from you.
Jhudora: I knew you'd be trouble! What? Is the world ending and you need me to save you or some drivel like that?
Orion: No, well, I don't think so at least... No, what I need is...for you and Illusen to...work together again! To fight the shades attacking the lands!
Jhudora: ...
Orion: ...
Jhudora: How dare you lie to me! You said you were here for your stupid research, but no, the Queen did send you to watch us didn't she?! This must all be some weird plan of hers to try and get us to work with one another again.
Orion: No, I promise it isn't like that! I think whatever is going on with me is trying to show me that we need you two! Neopia needs you both working together like you used to!
Jhudora: You know nothing of our past! Do not use it to manipulate me!
Orion: Please...I don't know what else to do...you need to--
There's no time to bicker, how about I speed this along quicker?
Jhudora: There is nothing to be said here, why don't you go along and die here! I want nothing to do with her -- or those years we spent together!
...what is happening?!
Orion: Agh! It's not me. I...I can't stop it!
I need your powers to unite, so your inner song must come to light!
Jhudora: If you can't get a handle, then my solution is to strangle-
Orion: No! I'm sorry... I thought I might be able to control this after last time... Please go to the library, I'll meet you there!
Scene 5 - Illusen
Orion: Hello Miss Illusen.
Illusen: You can just call me Illusen. No need for any formalities.
Orion: If that's what you would prefer...
Illusen: Is everything alright, Orion?
Orion: Well, I've had a vision...and I need to ask a favour of you.
Illusen: Oh no, I hope you are alright. I am happy to help if I can!
Orion: I...I need...you and Jhudora to...work together again! To fight the shades attacking the lands!
Illusen: ...
Orion: ...
Illusen: I'm sorry...but I don't think I can do that. I will of course help with any fight, but being with... We wouldn't be of much use together. It would be better if I helped alone.
Orion: Please! I think whatever is going on with me is trying to show me that we need you two! Neopia needs you both working together like you used to!
Illusen: Stop! You don't know what you are talking about... I just can't.
Orion: There's no time to bicker, how about I speed this along quicker?
Illusen: I can not even think of going there, when nothing left is sacred there. If there was a place we could belong -- it is now... long... gone.
...what is going on?
Orion: Agh! It's not me. I...I can't stop it!
I need your powers to unite, so your inner song must come to light!
Illusen: Oh, Orion, you must be in such distress! What can be done to stop this mess?!
Orion: I'm sorry... I thought I might be able to control this after last time... Please go to the library, I'll meet you there!

Scene 6
Seshatia: Orion, you're back! When Illusen and Jhudora arrived without you I got worried!
Orion: I'm sorry Seshatia! I couldn't move quickly while fighting this thing back.
You were right! I couldn't control it. I was able to stop it for a time, but not before both Illusen and Jhudora were affected!
Seshatia: Is this true?
Illusen: ...yes
Seshatia: Getting me while in my library is one thing, but to be able to affect two of the strongest faeries in the land...we must call for Fyora at once!
Orion: No! We don't know the reach of its power! If it was able to get its hands on the Queen, who knows what could happen.
Jhudora: Enough of this! I want explanations now! What in the heck was that back there? How did you do that?
Seshatia: There's no time for that. I need to start preparing for if it returns!
Illusen: Orion, we need answers! How were you able to make us sing?!
Orion: It's not me. Whatever is in this Lyre is...I don't know, working through me? Possessing me?
Illusen: How do we stop it?
Jhudora: I'll tell you how! We destroy the accursed thing!
Orion: No, please! Don't fire!
Jhudora: It didn't break? That was one of my strongest attacks! Give it here. I'll try at close range!
Orion: Stop, stop! I have already tried destroying it!
Back when I first found it...it was too much. I did everything you could think of to get rid of it. I even threw it in a volcano, but it just kept reappearing wherever I went.
I think the only solution is to give it what it wants. You two need to work together!
Illusen: I'm sorry, but that just isn't going to happen.
Jhudora: As much as I hate to agree with her on anything, in this case, she's not wrong.
Illusen: Can't you just say I'm right?
Jhudora: You're never right. On a rare occasion, you're not wrong. But you're never right.
Illusen: Ugh, those are the same thing!
Jhudora: You're wrong.
Illusen: I swear to-
Orion: ENOUGH!!!!
You try and try and all they do is cry and cry! Darlings, this isn't a debate. If I must, I will drag you to your fate!
Illusen: Oh no! Orion!
Seshatia: Stand back! I've got this!
I'm sorry Orion, but for your own good. It's time to take a lesson from this Sleepy Time book!
Illusen: ...I think it worked. He's asleep!
Seshatia: This normally lasts from 8-24 hours depending on how much sleep someone needs...so you two should be good to return to your festivals for the night.

Scene 7
Seshatia: Thank you both for coming back.
Illusen: How is Orion?
Seshatia: He's awake and himself, but he's trying to stay in a meditative state. It seems to help stave off whatever is working through him...but just in case I have prepared some books that could help if needed.
Jhudora: Shouldn't we just end the festival early? If Neopians stop gathering wouldn't it get rid of whatever is happening to him?
Seshatia: I asked him about that, but he says it's very important we see this out. He said that Fyora insisted that the festival was vital, and then said something about needing the next cylinder? He's been a bit out of it due to the effects of the book I hit him with.
Jhudora: I am not letting whatever that was happen to me again! We need to squash this right away!
Illusen: Seshatia, do you think there is any other way?
Seshatia: ...I'm not sure. I don't like the idea of letting that thing control us any more than the next faerie, but as much as I have searched I don't see another ending to this story.
We could try fighting it once it takes over Orion, but if we aren't able to get past whatever it does to make us sing, who knows what else it might be able to do now that Orion has rested for so long.
Illusen: If there's a chance that this could help the greater good...could help put an end to whatever is happening, then I'm in.
Jhudora: Screw that, I'm out!
Illusen: ...
Seshatia: Jhudora, please. I know you don't like Illusen and that you don't fully trust the Queen at the moment, but I also know there is more to you than your cover.
Jhudora: You don't know anything about me! You might be strong in your library, Seshatia, but I am stronger and I know you are not able to read me!
Seshatia: I know, I can't read you. But I do see you.
There is a reason the Queen still trusts you with something like running the Faerie Festival, and it is that same reason that I know you will do what needs to be done here.
Jhudora: ....ugh fine! I am only doing this because I would look terrible in grey, so if there's a chance of stopping that then I suppose I can *bleh* sing or whatever for a few minutes!
But there better be some sort of plan for if things go too far!
Seshatia: Yes, I've got an army of books here that could help!
Illusen: Could?
Seshatia: It's the best chance we've got... Let's prepare!

Scene 8
Seshatia: How are you feeling Orion?
Orion: ...I feel okay. I'm actually worried it's too late and whatever it is might be gone-
I'm baaaaaack!
Oh my sweet scholar, what a fascinating trick! You may have lulled me to sleep for a tick, but fighting off your advances - ah of that I will never be sick!
Seshatia: Jhudora, Illusen, now!
Jhudora: Enough of this gross talk! If you want to fight someone I'll happily take you on!
Illusen: Get out of Orion and leave us alone!
Orion: Oh, poison flower! Doth my eyes deceive me? Are you and the fair, green lady finally able to agree?!
Jhudora: Shut up! I can handle you by myself!
Orion: Oh no, no, no. That simply won't do! For this to work, there must be two!
Illusen: What is that supposed to mean?
Orion: Showtime!
Oooh lady evil, how do you thread that needle? You like to cause upheaval, but I can tell you still like people!
And then there's lady gleeful, why don't you get off of that steeple? There might just be some weevils -- in you after all!
Illusen: I don't know what game you're playing, but I am not partaking! Give us back our friend now -- and leave us all alone!
Orion: Can't you see, won't you see? This is not for me!
Jhudora: Enough! I don't care! You will free me from this snare or I will cause you great despair!
Orion: There's nothing you can do! Besides, I'm doing this for you -- and you, and you, and you!
Jhudora: Uugh, enough of this! Librarian just try your plan!
Seshatia: This should stop you where you walk, as I hit you with the book of Types of Locks!
Orion: With my words, I make me rubber and you glue, whatever you do bounces off me and sticks to you!
Illusen: Oh no! Seshatia! She's frozen in place!
Orion: Now, let's get down to business. You both know what you must do! I need the song of two! -- If your songs combine, you'll no longer have to deal with me or mine!
If you want to stop this threat, you will have to give me your duet!
Jhudora: ...
Illusen: ...
Orion: Come now. Who's first?
Jhudora: I hate you. I utterly despise you. There's nothing in this world that could make me stand beside you!
Illusen: I loathe you. I totally abhor you. There's nothing in this world that could make us work as two!
Jhudora: They say I'm bad, I brush it off. They say I'm evil, who gives a toss? But then there's you...what is one to do?
Illusen: The two of us, we could have grown... But how could I have known? It was all gone in a blink, what is one to think?
Jhudora: You could think of others' feelings.
Illusen: What do you know, with your Dark Faerie dealings!
Jhudora: That's a low blow, even from you. At least to myself, I know how to be true.
Illusen: I didn't know what to do! Of course, I have regrets. I couldn't possibly forget. But after what I saw...
Jhudora: Ha, yes then you left -- but like that's the worst you've ever done! No more twisting of the tongue!
Illusen: This is not a one-way street! -- When it comes to twisting, you would be the one to beat!
Jhudora: Isn't that a treat, they all think you are just so sweet! -- You truly are just a delicate flower, when things get tough all you do is cower.
Illusen: That's not true! I have put in hour after hour trying to strip away your power! -- But everything has turned so sour... What is one to do?
Jhudora: See, that just proves I'm right! I am not the one who started this fight! -- Don't act like you did not push me to the brink. Oh, what is one to think?
Illusen: I'm willing to admit, I may been a bit... But after what you did, there's no putting back on the lid.
And so I hate you! Yes, I utterly despise you! There's nothing in this world that could make me stand beside you!
Jhudora: I loathe you. I totally abhor you. There's nothing in this world that could make us work as two!
Yes, I hate you.
Illusen: I totally abhor you.
Jhudora: And there's nothing in this world...
Illusen: No, there's nothing in this world...
Jhudora: That could bring back what we had.
Illusen: ...but if the world is ending, there is at least one last thing to be said.
You glowy jerk! -- I want you dead!
Orion: Wait, what?
Jhudora: Haha, yes! She is not wrong! That would be a great ending to this wretched song!
Illusen: Would it kill you to just say I'm right?
Jhudora: It might.
Illusen: Ugh, fine, whatever! We have bigger things to weather!
You ready? Everything we have on the lyre!
Orion: Yes! You've finally worked together!
(...)
*big explosion*
Orion: *cough* *cough* What happened? *cough*
Seshatia: They did it! Orion, you're okay!
Orion: How is everyone else?
Illusen: We're fine! Is it over?
Orion: I...I think so, I don't feel anything coming from the lyr-- hey wait it's cracked!! How did that happen?
Jhudora: A volcano has got nothing on me.
Illusen: And me!
Jhudora: Okay, fine yes. I guess you helped a bit too.
Orion: Wait, does that mean what I think it means? You two worked together?!
Jhudora: Don't get used to it. It won't be happening again.
Orion: But...why was that so important?
Seshatia: Orion! Look at this! I found it at the centre of the scorch marks from the explosion...which you two will be cleaning up!
Illusen: What is it?
Orion: It's another musical cylinder! This means my hypothesis is correct...I think.
Seshatia: That's a musical cylinder? It looks like it's made of dirt and grass.
Orion: With little purple flowers!
Jhudora: Hooray, you got a lump of crud. What now?
Orion: I suppose, nothing... To be safe I'll stay here for the remainder of the festival and write a letter to the Queen about all that has happened. As for you two, I think it would be best for you to finish out your respective festivities for now.
Seshatia: After you clean up here!

Scene 9
Queen Fyora: Thank you both! Orion has filled me in on what happened and I am so thankful you were able to work together!
Illusen: Anything to help!
Jhudora: Like I told him, don't get used to it.
So what now?
Queen Fyora: That is the question. Isn't it?
Despite everything, Orion's visions weren't particularly helpful in this exact moment.
So I will continue to work with the Council and focus on what we can accomplish there.
Illusen: What about us?
Queen Fyora: Well...
Jhudora: Ugh, don't tell me!
Queen Fyora: Orion saw you two fighting together. Not against him, but against the shades!
Illusen: Don't worry Queen! I will fight!
Jhudora: Ugh, fine. I'll fight too. Not with her or anything, but if she happens to be nearby I'll do my best to ignore her.
Illusen: And I'll do the same!
Queen Fyora: I presume that's the best I can ask for. Thank you.

Ways to get R102-179's:
Giant Omelette - 1 per day
Coltzan's Shrine - once every 13 hours; resets at around 12:26am NST daily; chance at getting some R102+'s
The Snowager - 3x per day - 6:00am - 7:00am NST, 2:00pm - 3:00pm NST, and 10:00pm - 11:00pm NST
Cheat - HTML game with chance of getting a battlecard after winning a round
Wheel of Misfortune - 150nps every 2 hours, LOTS of bad outcomes: chances of disease for your active pet, active pet forgets a book that he/she read, items in inventory can be stolen or turned into sludge (so...make sure your inventory is clear and you have an active pet that maybe hasn't read any books and you don't mind getting sick?)
The Money Tree - 10 items per day, good luck!
Buried Treasure - 300nps every 3 hours, booby prize items are R102+....except the Yellow Growth, but that's asked for at the Coincidence, so it's expensive and worth selling
Cheeseroller - 3 tries daily; check JellyNeo's Guide for names of cheeses (click on them to verify rarity as many are R101)
Jhudora's Bluff -Every 12 hours; completing quests 1, 3, 5, 8, 11, 17, 20 give out R130 items. May want to purposefully fail after 11 to restart and get the easier items if you're doing this only for R130s (quest 14 gives out a R99 instead). Check out JN's guide for tips about where to find some seemingly impossible items.

Scratchcards - Max 5 purchased cards per day:
Scratchcard Kiosk - 600 nps every 6 hours (closed 9-10am NST and 1-2pm NST), Terror Trove Scratchcard or Faeries Fortune Scratchcard to donate, scratch Races to Riches for a chance at the purple or rainbow quiggle plushies
Deserted Fairground Kiosk - 1200 nps every 2 hours (no closures), Undead Jackpot of Doom Scratchcard to donate
Note: Lost Desert scratchcards are all R101, and none of their prizes are R102-179.

Free the Bottled Faeries (NC)
Balthazar strikes again! Buy a pack of Flinging Slingshots from the NC Mall and rush back to free these poor trapped faeries from their glass prisons. Aethia is stepping in for Evalla, but she’s rounded up some wonderful prizes for your hard work!
This is a NC component. There are a total of 12 bottled faeries that can be freed, and there will likely be a bonus for opening all 12.
Free the Faeries Flinging Slingshot 1-Pack - 150 NC
Free the Faeries Flinging Slingshot 3-Pack - 300 NC
Free the Faeries Flinging Slingshot 6-Pack - 550 NC
Free the Faeries Flinging Slingshot 12-Pack - 1,000 NC

======================
Day 1 item: Queen Fyora offers you a small token as thanks for your interest. "Faerieland will always welcome you with its gates wide open, dear Neopian."
Faerie Queen Snowglobe
Day 1 quest: Fountain (the Hissi Stare)-> Library (Wartroot Snorkle Lollypop) --> (air) Mov+3

Library Faerie text:
Fantastic! I'm sure this will make Baelia happy once she returns!
To stay similar to Baelia I won't reward you myself, but instead, I'll request help from another faerie!
Air faerie, come and bestow your blessing upon this Neopian! I cannot abide a debt that is not paid.

Day 1 Bonus: Faeries from Paradise
Day 1 Quest: Battle, Darkest Knight Skeith Helmet (5k)... MyPet's defence, strength, and health have increased! (+3, +3 + 3). Sweeet! 8)

Edit: Updated today's quest to the actual FF Quest, not the Cookie quest.

Re: Faerie Festival Event 2024

Wed Sep 25, 2024 12:33 pm

Bonus: Earth Faerie Usuki Doll
Quest: Fyora, scary ink frame. And ugh, I've already got a decision. 5 HP but also 2 levels

For now, I'll get today's last training in first, and maybe as many as I can tomorrow before deciding whether to complete or refresh (and then either complete or reject), and then get tomorrow's quest.

Edit: an extended day 1 = 4 more trainings before I have to choose to bump my training costs. And I got a +3 last night, so I'll be max 89 away at that point (needing 30 extra HP to break even, and already at 5). At this point, it's looking like I should just take the FQ quest and take my chances with Von Roo. If I do deadly dice and get extra levels instead of losing them, that's just extra training savings, so it's win-win (same if I get more extra levels from quests).

Day 2 item: Fire Faerie Racer
Day 2 Quest: Fountain (Paper-Wrapped Cheese - ~900nps) -> Fountain (Tombola Guy Charm - 21nps) --> fountain dip
I had both items, so made no difference - but the first might be useful for kitchen quests, so...better for the latter to be used! I already had a fountain dip in store. I definitely have used it on one of my Grundos to get the new relic items. Gotta do a little fun customization with that new item...and the Mallow Grundo...

BLP is definitely holding off on completing his Fyora quest from yesterday until after he starts one last 24-hour training later this afternoon. It's not the end of the world if he doesn't get extra trainings, as he's now on the shorter ones, too, but he wanted to get in as many as he could.

Apparently you need to complete/cancel the prior day's quest before you can see the new day's dialogue.

I checked both the quest and festival pages several times this morning but only saw yesterday's dialogue (and Fyora impatiently waiting). Just went again to double check, and I still can't see the dialogue, but I just received Jhudora Fashion Play Set.

I've got one more training at 9:40pm (my time), then I'll finish yesterday's and do today's.

Day 2 Bonus: Dark Faerie Bubbles
Day 2 Quest: Fyora, Rainbow Notebook... no refresh.. MyPet's level, strength, and health have increased -- a lot! (+2, +5, +5)

Now only 7 away from the next strength boost. No more Bullseye Potions for me. After using 54 bottles, the total loss was 26 STR, which is averages out to about half a point loss per dose.

Oohhh. Thanks for the reminder. I need to check in at the FF main page... This bit me last year.

ETA:
No new dialog today? (Or did I need to see it before heading to the quests?)

I finished all quests, but still see only day 1 of the dialog...?

Re: Faerie Festival Event 2024

Thu Sep 26, 2024 1:09 am

There's no new dialog today. Just a fresh item and fresh quest.

Blue, you had extremely bad luck with those Bullseye Potions. It's supposed to be an average gain, not loss. O.o Hopefully you'll get some Strength Serums from the Act II hospital shifts to help make up for it!

Re: Faerie Festival Event 2024

Thu Sep 26, 2024 7:24 am

Day 1: +2 level, +5 strength (but past max boost), +5 HP (scary ink frame - had 10 in SDB); now only 88 HP from 3x 399

Day 2: Seshatia hurridly [sic] approaches you. "I'm in the middle of critical research, so I can't stay long. But I wanted to request Tropical Island Paradise Background on Baelia's behalf since she couldn't attend this year's festival."

Seshatia? Is that pronounced "Se-SHAY-shuh"? Reminds me of certain languages that pronounce "Jessica" like "Sheshica" (Irish and Japanese).

Oh, right. I forgot to make sure I had the SW preloaded. Even if I had that item, I wouldn't want to give it to a faerie -- I'd want to customize with it! Hmmm. JN says it's only 2.6k.

But it could give any stat? I'll take my chances with a refresh then. But no stats... Naia. Skeith Winter Warrior Sword. I was able to log in on my laptop and use my open SW tab there. 1391. Well, free painting. Guess I can finally paint my new Lenny to match her name.

Nope. Steampunk to get her some free clothes before closing her final color. (Not sure I can match her name in her current species, though... Might have to to switch her species first, but then why did I just get Lenny clothes?)

Fyora tomorrow, please, though!

Edit: Oh well, I guess your little pet gained 1 level, and goes up to 402.

You're going the wrong way! Now I need to lose three levels. *sigh* (Or, you could look at it as me getting +2 codestones towards making up for bumping early, plus the +14 from the quest)

Re: Faerie Festival Event 2024

Thu Sep 26, 2024 3:34 pm

Day 3 item: Dark Nova Pop
Day 3 quest: Battle (Flaming Bomberry Krawkade - had) --> +3HP, +3Str, +3 Def to battle pet

Invitations on the main page are now up (and added to the first post in the dialogue section). I clicked on the "Join a team" button...which caused it to spin blankly for a bit, refreshed, and then the whole of the dialogue disappeared and is not coming back. This seems to be what is happening for everyone right now.

Hmm... It's 6pm NST and I will give it a shot to sign up. Leaning towards Illusen again. But, I got a Illusen's Staff from this last year... So, if the top prize is a WODF, then maybe I want to go with Jhudora this year? That would save plot points for something else... Decisions, decisions...

Jhudora wrote:
If you're reading this it means you are invited to the Real/Fun/Superior Faerie Festival.

Day 3 Bonus: Rancid Faerie Potion
Day 3 Quest: Fyora, Jelly Bean Baguette... no refresh... (9.1k) MyPet's level, strength, and health have increased -- a lot! (+2, +5, +5) 8)

You can't sign up until Oct 1st...and you MUST sign up that day or it will automatically pick for you. This posted just about 20 minutes ago on Discord:
TNT Luna wrote:The Faerie Festival is upon us! There are plenty of fun activities, such as a free daily spin at the Wheel of Excitement, soup for all at the wonderful Soup Kitchen, and the super popular Faerie Quests!
Be sure to check in each day, especially once Jhudora and Illusen are ready to show you their own unique festivals on October 1st, and you can choose which faerie’s invitation to accept. Be careful not to take too long to decide, as once the day is over one of the faeries will pick for you.

Please note that the avatars will be the same this year, and both avatars will go towards your overall count!
I am not sure how happy I am that apparently if you switch sides this year, you'll get the other avvie. I'm like...are we being punished if we stick on the same side? (by not getting the second avvie). Ugh.

Hmm. Time to switch sides... Jhudora does have the better colors... and drinks.

Oooh, that looks pretty, Blue. Hopefully tasty, too. Though not sure I'd drink it if Jhudora herself were offering it to me. (I will join her side for the avvie, though.)

I clicked to join the event and make the dialogue disappear. It's not showing up below as a scene, but it technically wasn't dialogue. Going to refresh to make sure my reading it counted.

I have two SW pages open. Time to quest.

Daily Reward: Light Faerie Hair Brush
Quest: Library faerie (Caramel Urn), refresh, Fyora (woohoo!) asking for Lost Desert Dagger (723 NP) +2 level, +5 strength, +5 HP

Training Savings:
Quests:
+4 level (1 x2 + 3 x3 = 11 codestones saved)
+10 HP (x2 = 20 codestones saved)
Von Roo:
+1 level (3 codestones saved)
---------------------------
34 codestones saved

Extra costs from bumping up early:
Today: 3 trainings (x1 codestone cost)
----------------------------
3 codestones cost

Net: 34 - 3 = 31 net codestones saved

Not a bad start! It is really annoying to have the training uncoupled from hospital volunteering, though. I'm already nearly a training behind, and it's max 3/day instead of 4. But the faeries are giving me more than that per day for now, so I can't complain.

I have an alarm set for Von Roo but might sleep through it. It will be good to check the forecast then and maybe pack a grab and go bag.

-------------------------------------

Edit day 4:

She did not check on von Roo at 3am. That was the one hour last night the weather radio didn't go off.

I didn't have any new dialogue or anything to click today. Clicked anyway.

Bonus: Faeries from Paradise (book)
Quest: Fyora, Trumpadon Fossil Necklace, 8.5k, +2 level, +5 strength, +5 HP

Training Savings:
Quests:
+6 level (1 x2 + 5 x3 = 17 codestones saved)
+15 HP (x2 = 30 codestones saved)
Von Roo:
+2 level (6 codestones saved)
---------------------------
53 codestones saved

Extra costs from bumping up early (until reach 1198)
Training HP: 6 trainings (x1 codestone cost)
----------------------------
6 codestones cost

Net: 53 - 6 = 47 net codestones saved
