Healing a pet?

Tue Aug 03, 2004 8:47 pm

Is there any other way to heal your sick pet besides buying the cure or hoping the Healing Springs Faerie will help you? I have 2 pets and they are both sick and "extremely uhappy". I don't want them to turn blue. I thought there was a Healing Potion that would heal illnesses too.

If you don't want them to be sad, just make them play with a toy, and keep refreshing the window that opens when you select which pet to play with. I got Eifro from "miserable" to "cheerful" in less than a minute. ^_^

Not working... I've never seen it go down this fast. I always thought one of the potions cured disease too.

Oh and how often can you visit the springs? Also, to get my pet completely healed, does he need to be my active one?

The more you go to your QuickRef, the faster their happiness goes down. Play with them for 5 mins non-stop, then don't visit QuickRef till they're healed. They'll be ok :)

Every 30 mins.

It doesn't need to be your active pet, but it is more likely to be healed if it is. I always change my active pet if one is sick to give it a better chance of getting healed.

Moogum, I've noticed that lately when a pet gets sick the mood goes down really fast. I've done the play with a toy repeatedly (like 15 times in a row) and barely get a one level up, then it goes right back down.

You can visit the healing springs every 30 minutes. Try making your sick pet the active one, that will help. The potions you get from the faerie? They won't heal your pet from being sick, they bring hp back.

Thanks. I COULD buy the cure, but who wants to spend that much? And when did medicinal plants stop healing?

Unfortunaty shrooms are the expensive way out of it (since they've been retired for sometimes)

Thanks for all your help, I'll just stick with the Healing Springs.

The Neolodge raises happiness right?

Oh I've tried the medicinal plant, I really thought that would work. This was awhile ago. Didn't do a thing.

I did buy a yellow healthshroom once, my pet had been sick for about a week and I couldn't afford the 100k for the cure. However, at that time, the shroom was close to 50k -- and this was months ago. I have no idea how much they are now. Everything's so expensive!

That one I'm not so sure of. My pets are in the Lodge. One is 'delighted', the other is 'extreemly happy'. Both were 'delighted when they went in.

About the toy playing with a sick pet, TNT made it so when you play with a toy to another pet(I don't think it has to be sick too), the first pet's happiness lowers. So, it end up that when you try to make one pet happy, it's back sad when you play with another pet.

I tested it a few times some months ago and that what it seemed to happen.

i seem to remember hearing somewhere that if you feed a poisonous jelly to your pet, it will get whatever illness that the jelly gives (i believe it's neopox?) and that the cure for that illness is pretty low. you may want to look into that.

Nope, Poisonous gelly is what caused the illness in the first place. It gives Neomonia and that was a 9000 NP cure.

I bought the Floppy Tongue (which she got from eating a poisonous lollypop... Note to self: Poison=bad) cure for my one pet, and then the Faerie healed my Neomonia pet, but today the Wheel gave my other pet Sneezles... So it's back to going to the Healing Springs every half hour for me.

If you want to check how happy your pet is without making their mood go down check their status through your user lookup.

Apart from that, the best thing is just go to the healing springs as often as possible.
