mail woes

Wed Jul 28, 2004 8:16 pm

I can't delete any of my neomail. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I actually am having the opposite problem. When I click on the message at the top of the screen, I get an "Oops" page telling me that the message has been deleted. But, luckily, it hasn't really been deleted-- it is sitting right there in my Neomails waiting to be read.

well, neopets is still trying to move all the neomails from one database to another, so there will be glitches. 50 million people. 30 mil actually active. 30,000,000 *about 5 messages each. = 300 million messages. plus, they have to make everyone's message thing on the new server too.

:o Holy hyperbole, Batman!

Well, we can make that 150 million messages, or we can put the average at about 10 messages each.

Regardless, it's a valid point . . . and a temporary loss of Neomail isn't nearly as bothersome as the fact that several shops (in the a/q/1 line, and perhaps more) have been MIA for days.

Don't ya just LOVE server maitinence?

Imagine if an official warning was lost and the person continued to do whatever they were doing and was frozen and then got mad because they'd never gotten the warning. What a mess TNT would be in then. Not that they'd care.
