SO excited! This verifies that the Wii was an excellent purchase. Those screen shots make me happy. I love the Yurble

Ok, well this isn't really new news. It seems that this is already up on the front page at ppt and jelly neo and other news sites.
Ok, this confuses me. On the screen shots it shows some neopets like a yurble and blumaroo and myci. It says you will be able to play as a neopet and then use the petpets collected from the game to do special things. But on one screen shot there is a myci playing against a Minitheus...which is a petpet itself...unless they do plan to make this into a neopet?
Do you think the minitheus will end up being a big neopet like a krawk does?
At first I thought this must be a mistake, but when I look under the Minitheus he also has another petpet equipped under him. So I don't know. I don't know how the game works, but I thought the petpet kind of have special effects but I didn't know you could play against a petpet who also has a petpet equipped to itself...
Well it is a mystery but I do like the minitheus and maybe they plan to make this a neopet?

I sort of got from the articles that you had to battle the petpets in order to capture them and then use them, something like Pokemon. That doesn't really explain why it also has another petpet under him.

How is this going to be a good game for the Wii? Nintendo has yet to come out with something totally fabulous for the controllers they have, and I fail to see how this game is going to make use of those controllers in a good way.

humm this actually looks like it could be mildly fun.

I really like the art, it looks awesome. But unfortunately I will never get it, because I don't have a Wii and never intend to get one. No offense to those who like it but I think it's ridiculous and don't really understand why it's such a big thing.

I thought I was the only one! *high-five*
OMG. OTHELLO.
If it has Othello in, I most likely like it.
(I'm talking about what
this site says)

I don't think this is just for the wii. I think it is coming out in many formats like for the pc or ds and other stuff.
Also, have the Minitheus always been expensive? I seem to remember they weren't as expensive once. I seem to remember even actually having one like from tarla or something..but I am not sure...

From the first link in smudge's post... wrote:And as some of you may already know, "Neopets" is licensed from the popular web-based game/community run by Nickelodeon, where people create and nurture virtual pets and swap recipes and do all sorts via a website
swap recipes?

LOLWUT.
They're not owned by Nick, though, they're owned by Viacom, the owners of Nick.

You should download the WiiWare game Lost Winds (I think it's called that) then.
They are probably building off the PuzzleQuest game that is available for PC/DS/Wii. Possibly same engine and underlying programming.

well breaking my silence to post a reply to this.
Am I the only one who thinks this looks an awful lot like puzzle quest? It's hard to tell from screen shots alone, just what the game concept will be but to me it looks like a match 3 type.
I'll admit though graphically it looks great and if they could incorporate more into the actual story line than puzzle quest did it would be a great game. Though I agree with some previous posters, it might be hard to play on the Wii.....I think I'd enjoy it on the PC though.
just my two cents anyway

I believe it is actually a branch off Puzzle Quest, if I'm correct. That would explain the similarities.
