Was it a Trading post glitch or a scam?

Hi, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone knows anything about it.

One of my pets has Reptillioritus and the cure is Cactopus Cream (which I searched for on the shop wiz and it didn't show up)
I looked up the item on the trading post to find out that it is going for about 110,000 np or more.

I decided to bid a tangella and 105,000np on a trade but this morning when I checked to see if it had been accepted or not, I found out that the trade had closed and the user had accepted a different offer. Well, thats no problem but, where was my 105,000np? I only received my tangella back. I checked my bank and it is the same as when I withdrew the np.

Is it even possible to take my np without accepting my trade? Or do you think this was a site error?
Any info will be much appreciated!

I'm afraid that it was likely a site glitch. There are a few other threads around about it. I am sorry that it happened to you.

There has been a Trading Post bug since mid-February. There are several threads floating around both here and in General Chat about the bug, though most of them are probably on the second or third pages due to the glitch being around for so long.

The best thing to do is stay far away from the Trading Post. Don't touch it with a ten-foot pole.
