None of those are customized apart from having backgrounds(and I just tested backgrounds on my unconverted Kougra and it worked fine).
It looks more like a mistake or some sort of sneaky alteration to the unconverted pets than anything else. Emotions are supposed to be only facial so they don't have to change the clothing at all.
