Neopets is busily fixing my little glitch. So the pound is down. This means many good pets are stuck there. If you were transfering, that is too bad. Now there will be this mad rush to the pound. Already they are talking about this on the neopboards, and there are many many good pets that are just sitting waiting to be taken in the mad rush to the pound day! If you want names, just check the boards, people are posting names of painted pets stuck in the pound.

Thanks for the heads up. I had planned on eventually pounding a few of my pets (the ones I cannot stand to look at anymore) and then moving some of the more desirable ones from side accounts. But I figured that the site was just too laggy to do it now. Waiting for all of the bugs to be fixed first.

Does anyone think neopets could do a rollback over this? I mean, there are so many good pets just stuck in the pound. Some people were quitting anyway, and pouding good pets, but some people were trying to transfer. Do you think this warrents a rollback? Part of me says, yeah maybe, but part of me thinks that it is risky using the pound anyway, and they shouldn't make us all have to go through a rollback just to please people who shouldn't have been trying to transfer anyway.

Neopets isn't considerate enough to do a rollback. They don't care about the good pets that are stuck or the transfers that are being ruined or anything.

I have to agree. If they didn't care enough to give nps back to people in January when that horrible neopoint changing glitch occurred, and if they don't care what we think about the new changes (as they made clear in their editorial also known as "Don't let the door hit you in the behind on the way out") then, sad to say, they aren't going care enough to do a rollback. In fact, they are probably saying "See, that's what you get for not liking your pets the way we redrew them."

Precisely my point morningstar!
And yes, that editorial was a joke. I mean seriously, the whole thing was all "So I'm complaining about the revamp but in a positive way and btw I LOVE THE NEW LAYOUT!!"
Yeah .. sorry TNT but no one likes the new layout so congrats on wasting your time.
They don't care because I am sure in their minds, those of us who play for free dont matter. They have enough people and sponsors and what have you that even if we complain and say we hate it, they can sit behind their desks and monitors at work and laugh at us. I kinda feel played ... not gonna lie.

I
almost transferred one of my pets this morning, too (my favorite one, to boot). That would... I would have flat-out quit the site if that transfer had been interrupted.
But now I'm afraid to transfer that pet at all.
I can't believe TNT didn't give us any warning about closing off the pound for the day (weekend?). No, scratch that: I believe it, but it doesn't make me any less angry with them. They may not advocate transfers, but they sure as hell are aware of them. They know the users have no alternative means of moving pets from one account to another, and to randomly close the pound like this.... Grah.

Not only do I believe it but I wouldn't put it past them to have done it on purpose for this very thing to happen. You sincerely have to wonder if TNT doesn't do it on purpose so that good people lose their pets.
You know the phrase, "Why do bad things happen to good people." It pretty much applies here.

Officer 1BDI, not just that, but not to give us warning that they'd completely wipe out the graphics in our shops/guilds/galleries/user lookups. When so many people worked so hard on them. Like we don't matter one whit to them.
Well, anyone remember the Teddy Ruxpin doll? Remember how popular it was and how people were paying huge dollars to get one for their kid. Every kid had to have one. And gosh, hhhhhmmmm, when's the last time you saw one for sale in a store. It became a dinosaur. Sitting on a shelf gathering dust. Just like Neopets will if they don't start appreciating the users that they still have--users that have remained loyal players throughout the years. Sure kids might play this game. For an hour or two after school and for couple of months until it gets boring or too babyish (as happened to my daughter), then they move onto GAIA or WOW. I just bet that if TNT had the sense to do any surveys, they'd see that the people who put in the most hours on this game are people who are older teens or adults who have been here a year or more. So why the freek are they shooting us in the foot like this?

Because unlike the Teddy Rux. doll, the internet is a vast place the has no end and can reach all the countries and for the most part, is free.
Point blank .. Neopets could care less.

Oh gosh, Teddy Ruxpin...I always wanted one growing up!
You'd think Neopets would do feedback surveys, eh? Ah well.

I don't think Neopets would do feeback surveys for the sheer fact that they obvious don't care about their players. Or if they did do surveys, they'd probably be on the biased end like their latest editorial.

It is like this: one thousand hate mails...one fan mail...
Wow they like it. See!
The next day: 2000 hate mails..3 fan mails..
Yes, they really do like this, I knew they would.

I run an adult guild. You have no idea that number of adult stay at home moms and disabled adults (who are home all day) who play this site. If they took a survey, they'd know that the adults (like me) play hours and hours per day and kids play maybe a couple hours after school and before homework--if they aren't doing karate or ballet or have softball practice.
