Makes me want to pound my pets and leave

I hate how if your pet is fighting or sick, it just stands there stupidly happy like it was shot up with morpine or had a labotomy or something. Where are the sick poses? Where are the other poses? Now they are always happy.

LOL good comparison. Maybe our pets are all on anti-depressant pills. Image

lol. Hey, I never knew we had that smiley. Oh wait, we don't

But mine is just hideous, it is a Mutant Elephante, and with that link Rune had in the first post, she looks like she gained a few hundred pounds. But once it is all sorted out, I'll be happy.

Has anyone painted/morphed a pet since the revamp? I am dying to have my darigan aisha (FINALLY) but I don't want to end up with the redraw.

And I just noticed that when you search for your pets name, the old versions show up. Which make me happy.

Wah?

This is what it should look like:

It doesn't seem too fat to me. It is, after all, a sluglike mutant pachyderm. I think it's the MOST improved pet out of all the new art.

I want my Scorchio to look like a BattleDome champion and my Lenny to look like Finneus the Archivist. What items can I get?

I have a theory that neopets is planning to animate our pets. They will randomly blink or smile. I have this theory because some pets are messed up and their faces are all messed up. Also if you look at some peophins and other pets, their tails and parts of them seem seperate from their bodies, as though they could be moved or oriented in a different position. Also people tell me when you go to the battledome the pets just stand around smiling stupidly in their new pose.

How would you like your pet animated now? If that sounds like a bad idea, then expect it to happen, because it can only get worse.

My Firefox won't view them anyways. Says wrong flash plugin and won't update. I can't view other people's in lookup either I get a "improper pet name" error.

Ahh, I had this problem with Orca (also Gecko based). I thought I was the only one with the problem. If Firefox doesn't do a clean uninstall of the Flash plug-in, try uninstalling and reinstalling the browser and having it 'redetect' the new Flash version (so that you have to reinstall the plug-in I guess that translates to in Firefox) if you are sure you have the latest version of Flash in the first place, of course. Macromedia can tell you. If that doesn't clear the problem, might have to navigate to some Mozilla folders and delete some things.

And for anyone looking for new pet sites, I know of a few and Subeta has been mentioned a lot, too. I think I will be checking out GoPets, Nutrinopets, and maybe even Marapets again. (Heh, Mara is my real first name.) Last I checked GoPets they require a little program to run on your computer to access the site, but the idea strikes me as innovative. Apparently your pet sometimes pops up on screen and does cute animated things. Also, I recall you could change your pet name at will on demand. Just pop it in the floating box and voila, new pet name. (At least I think that was GoPets, anyone correct me if I am wrong.)

I had to uninstall Firefox then reinstall it, and it took forever.

From the editiorial:

Clothes are fine, but not the redraw!! DO NOT WANT!!
We can totally understand a lot of loving owners absolutely flipping out about the changes. Trust us, though, we're cringing behind our desks here from the teeth-gnashing, but we didn't just one day out of the blue decide to redraw all the Neopets for kicks. ;) This took a very, very long time to plan and there were some very, very long discussions on every single detail of this project - the art being the most important. There are already 54 different body types (for each of the 54 species), which is a HUGE amount of art to draw for a single item, so if we'd then added each redraw colour to the list, well... we like our artists alive, thanks. So, each species had to have the same body type or "mold" across all colours for this to work. You may notice that mutant, Maraquan, and baby don't fit this mold (as well as some fruit Chias, and some one-off colours like mallow Grundo). After more very, very long discussions, we felt we just couldn't change these. They are different body types that will have their own items made.

In the end, we really do think we're improving things overall and for the future of the site and that this change is a necessary one (otherwise we wouldn't have done it). We're very sorry if you don't like the redraws, but we're definitely open to constructive feedback regarding the art, keeping in mind the explanation above. Please take your time to interact with the customisation option and your new Neopets (instead of knee-jerk rejecting to them) and let us know what you think AFTER it has all sunk in.

Basically, what this says to me, is that they want us to just suck it up. They aren't planning on fixing any of the hideous redraws. Sure, they say that they want "constructive" feedback... but I think those knee-jerk reactions they speak of are just as accurate of an indicator. If people don't like something, they simply don't like it. Its unfair to discount their feelings merely because they can not form a well-drafted letter.

they probly chosoe not the post the well drafted constructed letters becuase then they cant act like the users dont know anything
