Woah - you can *actually* dress up your Neopet in this "Customise v0.9 (Alpha)" flash app accessible from the quick ref page - screenshots soon! Haven't played around with it yet, so don't quite know what to screenshot.

Is this a premium thing? I went to my quick ref page and don't see anything.

Yep, premium thing so far.

Wow, that does sound fancy. I hope somebody with premium can post screenies of this dress up thing. I'm surprised it's not in the news, because it sounds like a big deal. But maybe it will be announced once it's released for everybody.
edit: and by big deal, I mean HUGE deal, but I'm trying to restrain my enthusiasm, just in case I end up disappointed.

Lots of screenshots that are quite a bit too small...
The message at the top:

Apparently, I only get Acara clothes to test with.
The tutorial:

Here's what the screen looks like:

To add clothes, drag and drop:

And here's a couple of screens about already-"applied" clothes.

How it looks on your own quick ref (apparently nothing that's publicly viewable is integrated yet).

A glitch! Well, it might need some work, though it goes back to OK when you click "Rerender Neopet". Hopefully no rerendering necessary when it actually goes public.

That's really cool looking, although I'm not really seeing the point.

Squeeee! So exciting!
So we can actually change the way our neopet appears on their lookup! That is pretty fancy! Wow, I have to say that I am impressed.
Hopefully, once this goes through, they will stop producing clothes that can't be worn and only release wearable items. (I'm not a fan of non-useable items, eve if they're pretty.)

That is amazing. I would actually finally give in and sign up for premium if this was a premium only feature later on.

I played around with it. It's really cool. The only things I put in the feedback were that 1) I'd like to see more gender-specific clothing items and 2) More Lutari things (and the lutari looks kind of weird)
But overall, it's a really great idea. I'm glad that clothing items are going to be useful finally.
As for it not being in the news, it doesn't really surprise me. The window that pops up when you first go to it says that it's the BETA version. I can't imagine it getting put in the news until it's complete.

Humm I wonder if the new clothing is going to be something that is always viewable... and if it is doesnt it seem like that would make some of the paintbrushes uselss or just stupidly overpriced meaning like the Royal paintbrush would seem kinda silly. I'm just curious as to where this will lead but i do love the idea of clothing being useful in some way shape or form. (quests not couting mind you)
((and no one is crazy i moved my own post o0o0o))

I agree...this does deserve its own thread. Good call. Still massively happy with this service!

I wonder what this'll mean for some paint brushes which involve clothing (Especially Royal). I wonder if they'll phase some of them out and replace them with special clothes sets.
Hopefully all the Battledome items will be able to be added. I'd love to see my pets kitted out in armour
Of course, labbing in clothes may be a problem...

I notice that in one of the screenies the item says it's part of a Deluxe Paint Brush set. Since I was wondering if the price of certain Clothing would just be about as expensive as Paint Brushes once they release this.
Very cool, I do admit. I never would have guessed they were actually working on this as a "priority" and I wonder how long it will be in beta.
And that glitch is hilarious
.. I read the warning in the instructions but chuckled while thinking "yeah right like that would ever happen".

I did some screencapping:
ELEPHANTE - gets lots of different ear jewlery and looks dumb
AISHA - the wings came separatly (mine's faerie). Lots of neck items.
KOUGRA - the robot body couldn't contain my fierce Darigan darling.
XWEETOK - mine's pirate and all my options were pirate items. Boring!
