We're discussing this here currently.
We believe it's just a joke implying that Sweetheart was sacrificed to the Snow Beast in the new game. This is backed up by the fact a Polarchuck is a Winter Petpet, implying they would be found on Terror Mountain (and thus be available for sacrifice)
