I've been collecting weird items since I got into neopets. By weird/whacky I mean items that have funny/kooky descriptions. It has to be the description, not the picture or item itself that's odd. It's not a gallery (not yet, anyway), but I'd like to hear some suggestions.
I know everyone's definition of weird/whacky/funny is different, so I'll list a few examples of my items (and why I think they go into that category; though explanations do tend to ruin the joke):
Ghost Marshmallows "Hang on, I swear one of these just winked at me.." (implying that they are ghosts)
Mummy Spaghetti "Just like mummy used to make!" (Huzzah for bad puns)
Blumaroo Steak "What goes bounce...bounce...whirr... splat?"
Pink Poogle Toy (everyone knows why)
Funky Carrot "Hmmm this carrot just doesnt quite look right." (uh, yeah...)
Mollusc Surprise "So what is the surprise? This Mollusc is alive!"
Mortogberry "Just be sure not to kiss it!"
Fruit Fly Surprise "The suprise is the fly has eaten all the fruit!" (*groan*)
Tanglepus "It has immunity to combs."
Small Giant Squid (honorable mention for being an oxymoron)
Lucky Bone Necklace "This necklace wasnt very lucky for its last owner it seems..." (smacks of dark humor)
Spooky Raspberry Pie "Eat it before it eats you!"
Evil Toy of DOOM "So evil it scares itself"
Hero Gyro "This tasty treat is named after the heroes of Altador! Its just a marketing scheme really." (pokes fun commercialism)
Ultimate Bullseye Hat "This hat gives +1 to archery." (bonus for the geeky DnD/RPG reference)
Fir Tree Ornament "A tree for your tree"
My Neighbour the Zombie "He was quite friendly, and he always shared his brains."
Anger Management for Navigators "Tip #1: Always eat the chefs meals, even if it tastes like cardboard." (inside joke; refers to CG puzzle/plot)
Lesser Beared Plantfruit "The locals didnt really know what to make of this strange fruit. It seems to be edible though." (actually it just looks funny)
Okay, most fo them are actually bad jokes (i.e., you'll laugh because it's it's so bad) the kind of joke you groan and roll your eyes about. I'm just weird that way...

Grey Evil Fuzzle is my favorite
"Hello, I am a cute Evil Fuzzle. I want to take of the world *cough* I mean be your friend!"
And then there's the LDPBSTSCC:
"Squeal.. Oh my gosh... its the Lost Desert Paint Brush Stamp T-Shirt Collectable Card!"
The Jumbleberry is an inside joke to all of us that were around when it first came out:
"Yes, it isn't actually called med_berry_3 heh heh"
Pant Devil Sandwich (TCG):
"He ended up stealing this too..."
Handful of Sand:
"It's indescribable!"
Blue Lipstick (meant for your pet)
Give your pet luscious lips with this beautiful lipstick! (Not tested on animals)
Flower Necklace:
"This beautiful necklace will make anyone look and smell better!"
And ALL of the giant squids. Those are the ones I know of, I'll keep an eye out for you though ^^

Most spooky food descriptions are pretty funny.
An oldie but goodie that I like:
Mashed Eye Potato..."Mum! Mum! My meal keeps staring at me! It is freaking me out."
This one makes me smile:
Green Robo-Quiggle... "Robo-Quiggle jumps up, jumps up and gets down!"
And last, but by no means least:
Pumpkin Cookies... "Freshly baked pumpkin cookies with a crunchy frog interior. Do not tell your friends about the surprise inside and watch them gag!"

A few from my SDB:
Neo Crack(ers) - "Some deliciously addicting crackers. Ideal for pets with a need for savoury things!"
Pink Doughnut - "A doughnut with pink icing. Mmmm, Homers favourite."
Ultimate Burger - "This is fattening and greasy and everything your parents told you not to eat when you were little."
Yummy Muddy Pizza - "The word Yummy in the name of this pizza slice is only put there to lure unsuspecting buyers. It is in fact made of mud... and therefore not yummy at all!!!"

All of the fishes you can get from the fishing lake.. Especially the squids (from small to giant, there's also a titanic I think, but the Giant Giant Squid is the funniest) and the Butterfish ("Goes great with Breadfish", made me lol; and then I caught a Breadfish too
)
That Altador all-in-one club president plushie is also worth a chuckle ("They could've made seperate ones, but this was cheapier" or s/t)
Dung stuff
Things related to the Neopets staff

I'm quite fond of the Escaped Pixel myself. XP

I kjnow a lot of these are advent calendar items, so they should be cheap. The folks who write the item descriptions seem to get a bit sillier with the advent calendar items.
Bubble Beam
Its a beam, and it... bubbles...
Amulet of Inevitable Betrayal
Its laugh is an evil laugh! (One of my favorite Firefly references)
Splat A Sloth coin
That puppet seems to get everywhere.
The Annals of Insanity
HAHAHAHAHA LENS FLARE OMG
Poets Hat
By placing this cheerful hat on, you can stand in the village square and recite poetry to everyone. However, it does not protect you from any tomatoes thrown if you do a bad job of it.
The Way Windmills Work
Windmills do, in fact, work that way.
Pink Quiggle Scarf
If Quiggles had necks, this would keep them warm.
Ugga Ugg Times
Ugg ugga ugg ugg ugga ugg.
My Neighbour the Zombie
He was quite friendly, and he always shared the brains.
Winter Blechy Hat
If you see a Neopet wearing this hat, you may be tempted to yell, "A BLECHY IS EATING YOUR HEAD!" Dont.
Pumpkin Cookies
Freshly baked pumpkin cookies with a crunchy frog interior. Do not tell your friends about the surprise inside and watch them gag! (dew picked and flown from Iraq, cleansed in finest quality spring water, lightly killed, and lovingly frosted with glucose!) (This is a Monty Python reference, as is the Evil Blancmange and many others.)

Some of my leftovers from getting the 'packrat avatar'...
Orange Spanner Jelly
Packed full with all the minerals and iron your Neopet needs.
Brick Cheese
Lovingly cemented together, very tasty!
...then there are the gruel items, and some of the toilets, etc..

And what about Darigan Seaweed - A staple for evil underwater diets. ?
Hehe.

I love the description for Ionic Bread (which is dirt cheap since it's one of the items handed out by King Altador after you finish that plot).
"This bread tastes great with Doric Soup, but architects might give you funny looks."
(Doric and Ionic are two different orders of Ancient Greek architecture. So to complete the set, we'll need some Corinthian food items soon.
)

Yeah, Futurama is awesome. I still don't know which is better, the Pink Poogle Toy or The Way Windmills Work, I'll have to think.
Sadly, mayanspypilot lost her Futurama set. But I am changing my set too, and people change.

I like the Continuous Meat, and there's a roast duck rump with chocolate out there - can't remember the exact name.
