Fill in the blank:
A group of Neopets, all the same species, walked toward Neopia Central one morning. Before they arrived, however, they took a wrong turn. Coincidentally, another group of Neopets of the same species as the first group, also walking toward Neopia Central, also got lost at the same fork in the road. Doubling back toward the way they thought they came from resulted in them getting even more lost. Even so, the two groups of Neopets eventually found each other and decided to work together to find their way back. Finding their way back was proving difficult. Granted, they had only been lost a short while, so far, so they weren't too scared yet.
Hours later, however, they began to get frustrated. In fact, they decided they should just stop and wait to be found by a passerby. Just then, they realised something. Keeping together would be their best chance of rescue. Later, they still hadn't found anyone to help them. Maybe they'd be stuck here forever.
Now, what was the species of Neopet that was lost? _________, of course!
Too easy, I think. One's too easy, the other is too hard. Why can't they make a puzzle that suits my intelligence just right?

I'm completely lost on this one. Care to give a little hint?

Hey... I actually got this one!
Probably way too late for a trophy, but this is the first LC I've been able to do in a long time (well, it's also the first LC I've put any sort of effort to in months...).
klungar: It's a bit hard to spot at first, but the trick
can be found. I'm not sure how much of a hint I can offer without giving it away, though.

The only hint I can give, albeit a cryptic hint, is that you also might've noticed that there isn't any mention of a Neopet species in the story at all.
That's the closest I can get without giving away too much

Well, i have noticed that every letter of the sentences in order go in order with the alphabet to letter "M".
that's all i can figure out...

but other than that... XD no clue!

For future reference, guraski, if you have something new to say so soon after you've posted, it's better to edit your old post than to post again.
I'm not sure what other hint I could offer that wouldn't outright give the answer away. You are on the right track, but I think you're looking too hard into it. It's not as complicated as you may think it is.

guraski, don't feel bad. Sometimes it is the ones that are so easy that go right over my head as well. They are so simple that you slap your forehead and go argh! after finding out the answer.

Ha ha I just solved it! If I got it right, which I think I did, that is the first one ever! YAY!
I normally don't look at them because they usually are too hard for me... lol

So how what was the logic behind this one?

So how what was the logic behind this one?
"Ogrin" which was the answer, is the only species which starts with the letter 'O'. And if you look at the story, the first sentence starts with A, the second with B, and so on. The second last sentence "Now, what was the species of Neopet that was lost?" starts with an 'N', so logically the very last sentence has to start with an 'O'
