Stubborn Moffit

Wed Jan 31, 2007 9:59 pm

I have been trying for days to get my Moffit to attach to my Plushie Slorg.

I have read in a number of places to just keep refreshing the inventory screen which contains the petpetpet, but... are there any limitations to it actually attaching? Can the pet be in the Nelodge? Do Plushie Slorgs hate Moffits??

Just needing some encouragement that it will eventually happen with just plain refreshing... barring the worst luck imaginable. Hope I'm not missing anything. Thanks :)

It will eventually attach with just plain refreshing. It's totally random. Keep at it. ;)

It took me a long, long, LONG time to get any of mine attached! As in.. 3 or 4 days of refreshing once and awhile.
It was lame, but they eventually attached themselves. Don't lose hope! :)

I had a TON of trouble getting my Mozito to attach to my plushie Warf... Someone told me to load up my inventory with lots of stuff and try refreshing. Took 10 mins to attach after that. And naturally... the Turmaculus ate my Warf the next day. Haha!

I've never tried, I'm afraid to. I think if Turmac eats your petpet, the petpetpet goes away. Is that right?

Yep. If the Turmie eats your Petpet... you lose the Petpetpet as well.

You also lose the petpetpet if you unattach the petpet.

Oh man... that stinks! My petpets/petpetpets are relatively cheap, so I'm not as worried. But I like them too much to have them go after Turmie anymore.

Thanks to all of you for the reassurance!! I'll keep at it :D

it's the risk that is taken to receive prizes from the Turmac, just as it's the same risk to take it to the Petpet Lab Ray. If it's any consolation, you get the ability to fight the Turmaculus in the battledome if he does happen to eat your Petpet. It's such an unforgivable act, i don't see why he shouldn't be a challenger.

I always use my lab petpet for turmy, and I always use an abominable snowball for my lab petpet, I think if I used a kad or a candychan I'd have much more luck getting the avvie somehow

Does Turmac eat Sludgies?

Thu Feb 01, 2007 10:51 pm

I don't see why not. He can eat any petpet I believe. I'm trying with a Sludgie myself because I still have a bunch sitting in my SDB from grave digging.

I don't see why anyone would try to wake turmy with a petpet they valued at all or that had a p3 attached. The tiny prizes you get are so not worth the risk. I only visit him with cheap, temporary petpets because I want the av and challenger.

Yep, I have the same view entirely Meer, it seems like every day there's someone on the neoboards who's lost over a million NP in petpet/petpetpet because it's been eaten. For this reason I never change my active pet from my lab rat (who has a lab rat petpet) it helps avoid nasty REs that could affect my other pets.

That's what I do too. I have a "Baby Vampire" on one of my pets that's since been changed to another pet, so the only way he stays a baby vamp is if I leave him on. There is no way I'm taking that one to Turmy!

Good luck Meech! I hope he sticks soon!

Congratulations on your good fortune of having one of the few remaining vampires of Neopia. :D Wouldn't it be simple if our Neopets just sung the Turmucalus a song instead of everything else? It wouldn't hurt them for that...would it? And yes, the prizes do seem lack luster, but they are bonuses to have, as is being able to challenge it in the battledome (if you enjoy that sort of thing of course, in which case you need to be REALLY powerful). Besides, i enjoy the green boots i get from it. :P
