turnip tonics

Tue Jan 16, 2007 2:40 pm

Did you know that by feeding a turnip tonic to a pet will turn it to any basic color (red, yellow, green, or blue)?... Someone asked about this in chats and thought it was a scam, so I tried out of curiosity, I had a tonic hanging around and it turned my krawk from brown to yellow.. haha! .. I guess if you dont like your basic color you can always change it now..

I just tried it too. Turned my Mutant Cybunny into a blue one. Bought the Tonic for 9k as well, so it was cheaper than the blue paint brush I wanted to use. XD

It's interesting though. :3

where do these things come from? a shop? random event? daily?

Tue Jan 16, 2007 7:09 pm

Not really sure. I bought one {with the shop wiz}, used it {see my first post above} and then bought 2 more.

I stocked up a few too. Couldn't hurt. Certainly cheaper than paintbrushes!!

The description says it's a Meridell Potion.

i grabbed three.. if they rise in price, i could handle a few extra np.. and if not... it's not like i've never lost np before, lol

They're now going for a minimum of 16k, so if they were 9k before then they've gone up. :-)

At that price, the expected cost of getting your pet to be any given basic color is the same for the tonic and the brush, so I think I'll stick to the sure thing. At 9k it's a good deal, though.

I went ahead and bought 4 of them. I'll use one on Ylysander...I'm getting tired of the halloween color and he'll eventually be Island anyways. The rest are going in my SDB until I feel the profit is good enough.

I bought a few.

I'm tempted to buy a couple more.

We're causing inflation ourselves by buying them all. :P

I was just thinking that myself. I bought 3 right after sigh_driven's post. They were an average price of about 12k. They're now up to 19K and climbing.

That's cool! :D I'm not going to buy some, but it sure is interesting that an item like this wasn't discovered earlier. :)
