Depends on what you like to do.

If you like shop haggling, go for food, that usually sells well.

If you like wizzsniping, go for Dubloons, Codestones, Bottled Faeries, or for the higher ranged items rare Books, Neggs and that sort of popular one use items.

If you don't feel like putting much effort in it, you could try auction sniping.. Wait until a cheap Secret Lab Map comes by and try to anticipate what people will bid so you can put in a higher bid just before it closes. Takes more effort, though, because other people are trying to do the same thing. Although it does pay off, I've seen plenty of Lab Maps go for just 20k
