So, I created a new pet (green JubJub) and it's the fourth on my account. For the past, I don't know, five days or so, whenever I go to zap her with the lab ray I get "...and she doesn't change at all."
I know this is a viable option to get from the ray, but for five (or more, I haven't really kept track) days in a row? I don't want to zap any of my other pets to be test the theory of it being just this pet. Any ideas?

I have noticed that pets with a smaller amount of colors get that message more. I think the most widespread theory is that you get that message when the color the lab ray tries to change your pet to does not exist. Jubjubs should not be as susceptible to this as Hissis, Gnorbus, or Lutaris.
If this theory is correct, you are getting that message when the lab tries to turn your pet colors such as Desert, Custard, or Biscuit.

That certainly makes sense. Thanks for the insight. I tried to Google something on the phenomenon before I came in here to ask. I'll just have to trudge on and keep zapping, I suppose. Maybe I should keep a record of it.

A lot of people do keep a journal of thier lab results. It's handy!
I have heard several people who zapped a Lutari, but did not want one, having a long wait until they got something else and tons and tons of the 'No Change' message.

I haven't heard that theory at all, but it certainly makes sense.
It's bad luck that you keep getting no changes - but hopefully (if the theory is correct), it means that your lab 'likes' giving colour changes. Mine most of the time tries to give me stat changes ._.

I haven't heard that theory either, but it would make sense. My lab pet turned into a Lutari and she hasn't changed into another pet since then. I've received that message several times since then.

hmmm I've never heard that theory either, but it's a good one, I'm to lazy to keep track though but i know I've received that message a lot myself. I've even received the same zap quite a few times in a row, like the gender one, so don't get to discouraged, just keep zapping!

It took forever for my Lutari to go away, and that 'nothing happens' message is annoying. I have a Lupe now, and I still seem to be getting it a lot more than I used to. I figure Im going through a bit of bad luck, and hope its over soon.

Yup! It's handy! I keep it too.

Didn't happen for me...my Lutari went away within 2 weeks.

I think if a pet is level one, if the lab tries to reduce level, it will say nothing happened. I think.

Just a quick early morning update, my little furball zapped two levels up this morning!
I guess the lab ray didn't like me bad-mouthing it behind it's back.
Edit:
I think if a pet is level one, if the lab tries to reduce level, it will say nothing happened. I think.
I think that makes a ton of sense, too. Along with trying to decrease any stats since I just created her. Thanks for all the input! Mystery solved...I think.

It's known that if your pet is above level ??? he/she will never get "didn't change" or "goes down to level 1". However, the lab can keep decreasing its level until it's out of the level range and will still get those. So...keep your pet's level uppy uppy! XD
Just kidding. I hope you can bear some days of those, though.
