Whats with the pb prices :s

Okay, it's useless that people put 1.6 million down for a paint brush! That's going to take months to get unless you win the lottery.

PB prices are the main reason I abandoned half my pets and semi-quit the site for a month. I only came back in full swing to do the plot, and now that things have settled down, I'm not sure what's going to happen.

In the 4 months I started saving up for a Faerie PB, the price jumped from 1.6 million to 2.2. Ironically, I now have enough to buy one, but no longer have the pet I was going to paint with it.

I really wish TNT would do something about the situation. One of the other pet sites I frequent will throw out 1000 of their "color changing objects" for cheap once or twice a month to keep the inflation from getting ridiculous, and they only have a little over 100k members. TNT's catering to millions of users, and for them to only restock single quantities of the MPs (and not even sell most of the PBs) over the same time span is ridiculous. No wonder the prices are so ruddy high.

I believe you should have to work to get the pet of your dreams, but there's a difference between working hard to obtain it, and exhausting yourself and your resources to scrape enough NP together. The "game's" just not fun anymore.

I just noticed I have enough for the Darigan pb. But right now, I'm saving for Royal for my Draik, Lunar_Saphire. @.@ Been saving for... 5 months now, but I'm almost there. =3

But I can't imagine saving for something like Pirate... or anything that's NOT in the Hidden Tower.

I actually think most, if not all pbs should be in the hidden tower, so then they'd have a 'steady' price. Or that the hidden tower should rotate one or two brushes monthly, besides the ones it already has.

Now, Draik eggs... THAT's something that's gone up insanely in price lately. I want another Draik, but at this rate I'll never be able to afford it.

I just saw a starry paint brush on the tarla giveaway. It may have been the plushie paint brush, but it looked like the real thing. I think they should give more paint brushes away, because I think they never intended for some of them to be millions of neopoints.

Tarla's already given out the Starry Paint Brush a couple of times, the first giveaway I remember was a Starry Paint Brush, but unfortunately I didn't have the toolbar then.

I think they should do something about the price of PB's too I mean yea working and saving is one thing but for people who cant spend every day on the site the prices are just beyond rediculious (wow i cant spell) now.

And I couldn't belive the price of Draik eggs when I last checked on them! I got my draik when the price for an egg was 1mill and i found someone who was willing to trade for less then that and oh i think it was a purple slorg I had randomed upon. But the point is that there is no reason any of the things people really want should become such hard to get/find items!

A million yes that's alot but that IS do able maybe 1.5 for a really REALLY worthwhile item. But more then that should never be allowed to happen!

I would love to be able to put draik eggs and mp's in my 'dragon' gallery but I know i'll never have the np to do so the way prices are... and that's just so sad.

Well, a million really ISN'T a lot.

It's just that 3-4 million is, for things like pet colors and rare pets..

They should be like, no more than 2 million, or 2.5. That's more acceptable, in my opinion. XD

Just what I was going to say Some retired paint brushes can be won through the Fruit Machine though (I personally have won a Desert paint brush from it).

The only way to reduce Paint Brush inflation(apart from putting an unlimited quantity in the HT) is to hand them out randomly more often. Otherwise, either A) the quantity of brushes is so small that it becomes possible for a few players to hoard all of them; or B) they become so common that people who paid ridiculous prices become really ticked off. At least, that's how I see things turning out.

That's another thing I don't get: why in the world would you "retire" a paint brush and then produce more colors for it? It's like TNT's trying to drive up the prices on purpose, except I can't see how they stand to gain anything from it.

(Incidentally, what does retired mean for a PB? Does that title just prevent Jacko from handing them out during an RE; because unless that's the case, I don't see how they're any harder to obtain than a non-retired PB.)

Retired, I think(and I could be wrong), just means you can't buy them in normal shops. They're still available through random events, and you can still win them as prizes sometimes. For instance, Icy Neggs are retired, but they're still very cheap because they're given out as Winter REs.

'retired' in the case of the Faerie Paint Brush is just that it was retired from the Hidden Tower. They're still given out in REs, though. Just not as much, as they're rarer.

First wheel hits paint brush ....second and third wheels still spin. Second wheel lands on Fire OMG ... third and final wheel still spins. Third wheel, small but fast, eventually slows to reveal .... PLUSHIE. Darn! try again tomorrow.
