First post! Wonder why none of the links are really hooked up to buildings in Shenkuu right now.

Ok, Why is Shenkuu associated with Cyodrakes? Didn't they come from Meridell?

"So whaddya say? No hard feelings?"
"...you're kidding, right?"
Quite possibly one of the best, if not the absolute best, lines in a Neopets comic.
I had it narrowed down to Bonju and Anshu - since their stories conflicted the most, I figured one of them had to be lying and thus did the shoving - but alas, I picked the wrong one. Ah well.

From previous split:
I haven't gotten to read the last chapter yet and I can't find it.
Anyone? Please?
Go to the link in the news to go to Chapter 6.
If you click on the last panel of the comic, it will take you to Shenkuu.

"High in the mountains North of Altador is the mystical city of Shenkuu. Unknown to Neopians for centuries, it was revealed to the world by the crew of the Cyodrake's Gaze after a terrible mishap at sea. Its citizens were cautious at first, but have since welcomed visitors from all over Neopia with open arms... as long as they have their wallets. They are a merchant town, after all. "

What I want to know is: Who were they trading with? I mean if they're a merchant town, yet Neopians didn't know about them, well, what planet were they trading with?

Hmm, could have been trading with the worlds they went to looking for Hoba.....

Well, if Meridell is modeled after the Mediavel (sp) times and Shenku is modeled after the ancient Orient, then it does kind of make sense. There are legends of dragons in the histories of many civilizations. They were prominent in both Mediavel and Oriental mythologies, so that may be an explanation of why Cyodrakes are being used in both places. It's very logical to assume that they existed in Shenku as well. I mean, if the captin and crew of the ship are all known species of Neopets, there's no reason to assume that petpets from other places couldn't be there as well...wow...that was a really long and geeky answer...sorry 'bout that.

The crew of the Gaze didn't come from Meridell... I don't recall it mentioned, if it was, it was one of the places they'd visited during their travels.
Yeah, it's weird how nobody knows about Shenkuu and still they're sending merchant ships around

That ending was...dumb. But at least Shenkuu looks spiffy. Yay petpets!

They visited Meridell?

lol...misinterpretation. I didn't say that the crew came from Meridell. I was simply saying that they are all known species and they're all from Shenku, so it would make sense for there to be known petpets there. Sorry if people were interpreting me wrong.

Well the Cyodrake's gaze is just the name of the ship.. Doesn't necessarily mean that Shenkuu has any connection with cyodrakes. It's just like. . . "What should we name our ship? Cyodrakes are cool petpets, and they have one eye, so let's call it The Cyodrake's Gaze! That'd be cool!" or whatever. That's what I thought anyway.

I'm hopin there is a paintbrush for this new world I'm thinking most likely since alot of pets seem really different there.... I really liked the idea of one after seeing the new draik shopkeeper the other day. (wich i take it is spose to be from Shenkuu)
