While I was spinning the WoK today, I landed on King Hagan's head. Expecting just another meaningless 'wisdom', I got this instead: 'Oh, no!!! Your pet went down in intelligence!' Now... I don't really now if this actually happened, since there is only one pet I read books to, and this was not the one. Still... be careful! I had no idea anything like this could happen, and I think this goes for many others as well.

It can happen. There are
two King Hagan's heads on the WoK, not just one. One is smiling, and landing on that will give you another King Hagan's "wisdom". If you land on the angry one, it will decrease your pet's intelligence. It happened to me a couple of times, luckily I don't have my main pet active anymore.

I never have my main pet as my active one, unless it's while solving the crossword for a chance to increase intelligence. Maybe I should get back to fishing with it as well - my main pet's skill is 41, and the highest I have on another pet is 16, and not really improving. But so the intelligence of that pet definitely went down?

Yep, the intelligence goes down a level once you land on that slot.

I landed on that one today, too.

I've gotten that once. I was a bit surprised but it taught me not to keep my main pet active for spinning that wheel.
Luckily the Shrine seems to like giving my pet intelligence points.

Wow, weird. You learn something new every day, I guess.

I've never got that.
I usually get shields from the Wheel of Knowledge, though...

Maybe I am just a bad owner and have given them battle skills and no bed time stories, but really what is the practical use of their intelligence?
Peace

Pretty much zilch. There are a handful of battledome items that require an intelligence minimum, but other than that... it's just a nice stat.

Really? I didn't know that! Which items are those?

Many of the Brightvale Armor items require a minimum intelligence level to do something extra. Check the
IDB for info.

I didn't know that either! Good to know. THANK YOU FOR THE WARNING! =) I just got the window... ooh, and got a Fire Mote Stained Glass Window!
Sweet!
I don't have a main pet. Whenever I want to switch, I just switch. That way they're all sort of even. The only "main" one I have is the one I use for fishing. XD
