It used to be that shops would only restock up to 24 items at a time - 6 rows of 4 items.
Now, however, I have seen several shops restock with more items, somtimes up to 10 rows (so, 40 items).
This, IMO, is a Good Thing. It will help to lessen inflation by increasing supply. However, I haven't seen it that often, and don't know when it started. Anyone else got any more information on this?

What shops do you use for restocking?

I think it's been that way since the new restock system. Right?

New restock system? Fill me in here...?
(I've only just come back to neopets after a two-year absence so I don't know anything
)
Do you mean this whole thing where you have to click on a neopet to procede and buy the item?

No, the new restock system being that shops restock randomly now both in terms of order, time, and whether or not they even restock.
It used to be that shops started restocking at zero seconds after the minute, starting with the food shop (shop number 1) all the way up to the Altador Cup Souvenir shop (shop #99). Under a new system implemented about a month ago, all shops now restock randomly in terms of time after the minute, in terms of order, and sometimes are the only one to restock or not to restock. It's now a totally random system.
I'm not sure when this change was implemented - I just noticed it last Friday, and saw it again today so figured it must not be a glitch.

Now that you mention this, yes I did notice it. But only at the Main Food Shop. They did restock more yesterday while other shops are the same to me. More items came out but mostly cheap stuff.
