I drew a map, numbered the pieces, and recorded the best price for each piece that I saw (along with who had it). This was easy because most shops had multiple pieces. When I was done, I changed my password just to be safe. I've actually thought this would be an easy way to make neopoints -- buy the individual pieces for cheap, then trade them as a set -- 15 minutes of work for 100K NP+ ain't bad! Now I can't think why I haven't done this yet. Of course, now that the TP isn't safe, I'll wait until the all-clear...

If you want it, but don't have the money just yet, you might want to buy it piece by piece.
On the other hand, if you have heaps of money, go for it. Just remember there's no [legal] profit, and you get very little back as a reward. And definitely don't get it if you care what species/colour your pet is.

There IS a reward, you can get avatar pets, and also increase the hit points of your pets without spending fortunes on training, as well as other stats, but they can also go down.
