I think it's probably grey.

Grey looks more depressive to me, I would have to say black.

I don't think there is an 'emo' colour. Being depressed =/= being emo, and vice versa. Kids who want to pretend to be emo and think they have to act miserable all the time are pretty sad, and pretty insulting to people who really do suffer from depression.

Since my stay in the whacky-factory, I had met several friends with depression.

Many of them, were in fact, legit: Too sad to worry about looking 'emo', in fact, too sad to leave their rooms.

Depression isn't always acting miserable, it's moreso trying to hide your sadness, and getting on with your life as much as you can, (and if it effects the way you live your life, then the whacky factory comes into place).

Emo kids make me sick, some of those people I had met in the looney-bin had later killed themselves, or tried to kill themselves. It's not fun, and it's not 'hardcore' or 'scene'.

I know quite well what depression is like; I've been there.

Most 'real' scene/emo kids understand the difference between real depression and pretending, and I've known several who have also suffered mental illness. Most of the people who put it on aren't really that into the emo scene, they're just posing because it's currently fashionable.

Shrug... It seems to me like those who are depressed covers every possible category...and for that matter those who pose does as well. I remember two girls in the "prep" circle who were always "going" to hurt themselves and talked about SI as if they really did it all the time, but they never seemed to say or do anything typical of those who were really in that place. However it one of those things that just has to be taken seriously, 3 kids did take their own lives my senior year...

It really is a shame that some people can only get the attention they want by trivializing something so tragic and serious, but I don't believe the emo kids are the only ones to blame. Although it will just spark more "poser" debate I think some people just really enjoy the fashion, regardless of what label it tosses them in with. It's my understanding that My Chemical Romance does Not consider themselves to be EMO however people label them as such due to their dress and album art work.

Back on Topic though, if "Emo" is a theme you are going with I would kind of think shadow, I am really not sure there is a color that people would open your pet page and say "oh, this is an "emo" theme. o_O And even if there is as you can see it would probably get you some negative attention. Probably any of the colors you listed with matching colors and images for you pages would do the trick.

Someone should make a mock up of an emo pet page.
