Apples make your Kyrii sick, if I rememer right. And I think Poisonous Lollipops(sp?) make your pet sick.

There are some weapons that make your opponent sick. Checking IDB for them:
Buzz Poison Blaster - Blurry Vision
Darkness Scarab - Itchy Scratchies
Mistletoe Potion - Hoochie Coochies
Mysterious Hemlock Dart - Bloaty Belly
Poison Dart - Cricky Neck
Poison Muffin - ?
Poison Snowball - Hoochie Coochies
Poison Tipped Dagger - Neowarts
Poisonous Snowflake - Hoochie Coochies
Portable Cloud - Watery Eyes
Super Hemlock Dart - Bloaty Belly
Super Poison Dart - Cricky Neck
Vile Swamp Water - Watery Eyes

Also, quite a few of the Desert Scrolls about curses may backfire when read.

Ah, here's a thread on NeoItems:
Rotten Omelette - Ugga Ugga
Poisonous Jelly - Neomonia
Poisonous Lollipop - Floppy Tongue
Poisonous Mushroom - Neopox
Ferocious Negg - random
Glowing Jelly - Blurred Vision

Quiggles get sick from ice cream (Neezles), Skeiths from cheese (Neezles), Kyriis from apples (Itchy Scratchies).
Worms cure and bloat Pteris. Milk makes Kaus bloated (but doesn't cure them). There may be other foods that make some pets ill.

No, Neoflu and Sneezles (the diseases you need for the Meuka challenger) only come from the Wheel of Excitement or things that give a random disease.

You can also get Neoflu and Sneezles from the Wheel of Misfortune, usually a bit faster than waiting of the WoE disease to change.
