A problem with a couple of dailies.

Sat Jul 01, 2006 10:47 am

I just got a new comp for my birthday on Thursday, and am still a bit new to this Windows XP. There's a couple of problems I'm having with a couple of Neopets dailies. When the Claim Your Prize on the Wheel of Knowledge and the Click Here to Throw This Card Away on the Lost Desert Kiosk popups, nothing happens when I click on them. So now I have a Lost Desert card stuck on the page because it won't let me throw it away. My flash is all up to date, but I still have the problem with these two. I havem't submit a bug report to TNT yet because I wanted to try ti figure out the solution myself, plus I don't know what to say about the problem.

The games are just fine. I can submit my score with no problem.

Any ideas?

My dads computer in XP and everything works fine on his.Maybe try restarting the computer?I know it sounds strange but it sometimes works.

Restarting doesn't work, actually. Thanks for the suggestion.

What's odd, is that the Claim Your Prize on the Wheel of Knowledge let's you open the link in a new window to see what you got, but I don't know if doing that will be a risk to my account or not.

What browser are you using?

It may not be a compy problem, but a browser problem. Try switching browsers and see if that fixes the problem. :) If not, then I’m stumped. xD

Ugh. It's Firefox, and that's my main browser. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: Does it in Test Your Strength, but at least it's view your prize and not claim your prize.

Is there a way to fix this problem in Firefox?

I think the problem is with the latest Flash update, version 9. I have had this exact problem for the past few days. It happens in both IE and Firefox, and is more than just the dailies you noted. Some of the Flash-based maps won't work too. I've sent a few inquiries to TNT, but I don't think it is anything we should be worried about. Adobe has older versions of Flash on their site if you really want to to do those dailies.

I just realized that the maps don't work either. Do I downgrade Flash or Shockwave or both?

EDIT: Where's the links for older versions? I can't seem to find it for th elife of me.

Just uninstall the current Flash via the Control Panel and... good luck finding those. It took me at least thirty minutes to find them

Perhaps this? http://oldversion.com/

EDIT: I finally got it. It took a few installs in uninstalls to work. Thanks a lot for the help.
