Pet moods

Mon Jun 19, 2006 8:44 pm

Yes, folks, I'm back on Neopets. Once it grabs hold of us, it never lets go.

Anyway, my Neopets' moods are going down, even though they all have Petpets, and toys don't cheer them up. What can I do?

Well fed, are they?

Try reading some books to them.

Mine seem to be obsessed about grooming...

Take them on the merry go round, that always seems to work for mine :)

yeah merry go round might help

Toys.. they don't work for you? Have you tried new ones? Ones that your toy havent played with before?

the merry go round has always worked for me!

You could try Kacheek Seek or JubJub Blackjack. Or if you have enough NP, Happy Neggs and Smiley Neggs. Those usually work for me.

use a random toy and spam playing with it for a few minutes, and i'll be delighted! that's what i've always done for happiness

Are their moods dropping rapidly? If so, they may be sick. You might want to check their lookup (NOT quick ref) and see if they've caught something.

If they're all healthy, then the suggestions given here so far should work.

Thanks, the Merry-Go-Round worked. (It wasn't there the last time I played Neopets.)

Don't worry about the mood; you don't lose out if they're miserable. The mood doesn't effect the game at all, neither does Agility in the Battledome.

But I heard that if youre pet is really down, then they can turn blue?!? o_O

Tue Jun 20, 2006 9:24 pm

Yeah that's true, there is a random event that turns your Neopet blue if it's unhappy. I thinks it's really rare but I don't fancy taking my chances after the amount I spent on a Darigan paint brush :o

I usually spam playing with any random toy taken from my SDB. Also, in case you didn't realize it, your pets' moods can go down because of all the bad things that happen on the wheels and stuff.

If you already have the WoM avatar, I might suggest avoiding it because the most common results are bad and can make your neopet sad.

Instead of creating a new thread, I thought I'd add my question here. Does anybody know how unhappy a pet has to be before they're at risk for the "blue event"? Is it anything below "delighted" or is only "unhappy" and below?
