Neopets graphics?

Mon Jun 12, 2006 4:24 pm

Does anybody here know the programs TNT uses to make graphics? I know I've heard it somewhere, but I can't recall, and since I'm a webdesigner, I'd like to try and learn something more. Thanks in advance.

According to http://neopets.com/art/programs.phtml, TNT uses Macromedia Flash, along with a couple of other software :)

Macromedia Flash I recall :)

Photoshop is also a great program, and some even say Corel Painter is pretty darn good.

Corel Painter is absolutely fantastic. It can produce realistic looking media such as acrylics, watercolour and oil and has been used numerous times by myself- including in the production of my NT comic.

The only drawback is that it's currently limited to Windows XP users only. I have no idea about Mac requirements, but I know I had to wait until I upgraded from Windows ME to be able to purchase it. ):

Beware though. It's extremely costly. You could look around with a trial though. Personally I favour it over Adobe and everything else, though I have yet to try Flash.

I use PaintShop Pro for my art, because I wanted a legitimate program that wouldn't cost me an arm, leg, and firstborn child. It's only $100-200, last time I checked. You can get the older versions for much cheaper... if you can find them.

Of course, there's probably a reason why PSP is so much cheaper. I haven't found it, but I'm not exactly using it for professional purposes. >_>

I use The Gimp. It has a ton of features and is free! I make all my sets with it, including the animations. Although it can be a pain to download for Windows (designed for Linux).
