Does anyone know any strategies for Typing Terror? I have gone through the whole game with 100% typing and still haven't got the avatar. AHHHHH!!!! Any advice??????

the guide is really good, but incredibly difficult to read. Thanks for the tips though.

Thanks for the article. I had no idea about the different bot scores - too busy typing, I guess. I thought it was well written (though perhaps heavy on overly used common phrases, which, I've noticed, TNT seems to like) and it's too bad TNT didn't publish it.

I think it helps using the normal screen, as opposed to the large screen.

Assuming that you're a very fast typer with about 80 - 100 words/min with 100% accuracy in each level, the strategies..

*Luck - hope very hard that you get a lot of wonky robots as well as upside down ones. Basically if I don't get about 400 for level 1 I restart xD

*Typing strategy - each level has a set amount of robots you have to kill, I think level 1 has 14, etc etc. If you're lucky, the wonky & red robots will appear sometime in the level. Try to hold off typing the words on the yellow robots until you type the red and wonky ones. But you don't want to lose lives either since they give you a bonus 100 points for each life at the end! So basically my strategy is, type the yellow robots only until they're about to kill you, or are obstructing your view of the higher point ones. You don't want to use up all your "robot rations" so to speak on the lower 10pt yellow ones >.<

The electrified Grundos are what makes the big difference in your score (they're worth 100 points each). As long as you can get about 90-100% accuracy, don't bother trying to get it perfect.

In the first two levels, let the Grundos approach to the midline before typing them. The third, at least halfway to the midline. The fourth and fifth level, type them right away.

In all five regular levels, try to do the electrified and red Grundos first, before the yellow ones. If you don't get at least two electrified ones each level, restart. If you're going for the avatar/trophy that is, otherwise I'd settle for one each level.

That's my strategy, and I have only made it past 3600 (the score you need for the avatar) three times in about eight months of playing the game regularly (usually three times a day). Goes to show how rare it is to get enough electrified Grundos.
