Save or Spend?

Currently, I have more than enough for the Lab Map, but I was thinking of saving up until a million (for the interest). My question is, should I buy the map now or wait? I'm sort of getting itchy feet, feeling kind of bored of just saving and saving.

You know, I'm in the same position you are now. I quit Neopets for about one and a half years and gave away all my Neopoints and items. I'm finding it a lot harder to earn a million the second time around too.

But I'd say wait. I'm playing the stock market until I earn a million, then I'll get the lab ray. It's so much easier to earn the difference back once you have a million I think.

Yeah, I quit for about two years and gave away all my stuff. I guess I'll wait then.

My advice is to just wait. I agree with Twinkle - the stock market is becoming a lot more prevalent as a way to earn Neopoints, at least from what I can tell. A year or two ago, you didn't really hear much about it unless you were in the Stock Market community, but now it's all the rage.

Just to give you an example, about a month ago I purchased 1,000 shares of The Neopian Times at 15 Neopoints a pop. Well, three weeks later, they were up around two-hundred percent of what I bought them for, which meant huge profit!

I'd save, if only to ensure that you don't leave yourself fundless when you end up purchasing the map. Its horrible spending all your neopoints and then something else comes up that you really really want and you don't have the funds to even get started.

yeah.. waiting is better. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.

On the otherhand, the Labray is only getting more expensive to buy. It might cost you more in the future to get it than it does now. You could always earn the extra money to get it but then you'd be paying more to aquire it.

If you just want to get to a million for the interest, I wouldn't bother, cos it's really not much considering how much money you have to put in to get the account upgrade. On the other hand it is nice to have money around, but then I guess if you've got enough to buy what you've been saving for then it's kind of pointless saving NP for the sake of it. Plus, as someone said, Lab Map prices keep going up, so the sooner you get it the less it'll cost you.
