In the running for PPL?

Sun Jun 04, 2006 2:57 am

I have a 44699 hours old Bloop and 45005 hours old Tyrannian Warf (that translates to about 5 years if I did the math correctly) attached to my pets and I've been thinking on unattaching them since I wanted to match my pets with petpets that matched them better. The only reason I havn't is because they've been on the there so long I thought I might have a shot at geting a PPL award if there species ever came up.

Do I have a chance with them?

Technically, every petpet that exists has a chance, including yours. Unfortunately, that chance is pretty slim because every type of petpet, including all of the painted variations, are included.

If you want to be patient and keep them, you may have to wait a long time, but when you do win (because I assume that every petpet will win at some point) you'll get quite a large amount of NP for it. It's up to you.

No, I think they're asking if the petpets are even old enough that they'll get a prize from them.

And I'm not sure, I can't remember/don't know how old any of the petpets are, really. ^^";

Doesn't everybody with that petpet get the np, even if they've only had it for a day?

That's what I thought o_O . When your petpet gets chosen, you get 10np per 24hrs that you had it attached. The longer it's attached, the more money you get. At least that's what I remember....

I'm pretty sure that you get the NP only if you're in the top 100.

I would say keep them attached. I got about 7k once from it. :)

I've been wondering this myself. I have a Tyrannian Snowbunny about 1275 days old, but they've already had a Brown Snowbunny in about a couple of years or so ago.

Oh well. One can hope. :D

I'm in the same boat... I don't want to detach either of my really old petpets (1123 and 1127 days old), even though the odds against them being picked are astronomical. I just know, though, that if I detach them, they'll get picked the next day.

Well, it's all up to you. I know that I have all three of mine attatched, but that's not for any real reason. If you want to take the risk, then do it, but if not, then change 'em up. I'd say, if I wanted to change them, I'd go ahead and do it. It's not worth the money to be unhappy with your choices. :D

NBN has a handy page which lists all the PPL winners: http://www.nothingbutneopets.com/home.p ... pplwinners

It's useful to see if your type of petpet has come up in the past. In your case, a Pink Warf has been chosen before, so it seems a bit less likely that TNT will choose another type of Warf soon. There hasn't been a Bloop yet, so that might be good to keep!

Nope, I've yet to run for the PPL.

Also, not saying you have, but be careful that they've not been zapped by the labmap, which makes them on the 'no way' list.

Who cares about the NP that much? It's all about getting a shiny trophy on your pet (looks at his own gold ppl trophy :D)

(and EVERYONE gets the NP, not just the top 100 or whatever)
